Joe Beltrami
Born in Rutherglen, the son of an Italian-Swiss father and Scottish mother, Beltrami was brought up in Glasgow and educated at St. Aloysius’ College and the University of Glasgow.
Beltrami was involved in several high-profile cases, including the campaign for the release of Patrick Meehan. He defended such names as Johnny Ramensky, Colin Beattie and gained the first ever Royal Pardon issued in Scotland defending Maurice Swanson.
He successfully defended Glasgow crime figure Arthur Thompson on many occasions throughout the 1980s, leading to the phrase “get me Beltrami” being coined as a plea for help in desperate circumstances amongst Glaswegians during the time.
Beltrami also successfully defended in 12 capital murder cases.

My daughter knows eff all about Golf but enjoys the Majors and always picks 3 players and places 3 by 5 euro bets.
She has a pretty good record, this time around she backed Garcia, Rose & Fowler.
She is rooting for Garcia as she has him at 33 to 1, Think she has Rose at 15 or 16 to 1.
Its looking promising for her at the moment.

I looked at Rose on Thursday, my mother was Rose. A terrific name, nearly as good as Grace, my daughter was nearly Emiily Rose but tharsso e daft film so her Sevconian supporting mother wanted Grace….., I blame Clogher Celt , we always loved the song but Cloghher gave us the full shebang…. To this day I still the wee yin about Grace Gifford more than Joseph Plunkett
