Bottom line, we’re good enough to beat that mob easily. So go and do it, or we don’t deserve the Treble.

GFTB – You should put an odds-on shot up next week, just to get yourself up and running.

Knowing your luck the thing will still probably get beaten though.

I try and pick a winner every week and will still try, stuff that odds on patter, I chase a price, but actually enjoy the noteriety of being rubbish, but fingers crossed am not as rubbish as VP at the finishing line, really enjoy Fleagles competition a wee while back was in a spat or two on here, the usual rubbish with me at fault just as much as the next poster and I thought about just logging off for good, but Cheltenham was coming up so stuff that :-)

    Following on from your earlier post re The Masters, have went each way on both;

Schwartzel at 40/1 and Adam Scott at lesser value at 14/1 with Ladbrokes.

    nb other charities are available.

You are only as successful as your current position….

    Celtic Mac best of luck

Just back fae the chippy getting MissGFTB her required junk food 1/2 fried pizza supper, she has been eating vegetables all week, nipped into the Bammy for a quick aperitif ….. The bhoys are all laughing about how bad MacInnes mob were today, but too a man the Huns are still shoite

Again days like this I realise the Huns departed in 2012….. In April 2011 most of the bhoys in the pub would be raging about a 3-0 for the original cheats

Actually won with Schwarzel a few years back, but do not expect him to win with so many top players in front of him. Top three is a possibility though.

Not an online in play gambler myself but if there was ever an event designed for it it is the final round at the Masters.

I think that if we just go out and play our game we will beat any of they two imposters that played today,Mcinnes should take a long hard look at himself again :-))

How does a manager actually get his team to lie down to the huns?….okay, perhaps not lie down but let’s say, not try too hard?

    serious question…

    Mags,

Talking to a couple of Syrians the other day who told me, word from home was that six scrapped planes with a combined worth, less than one cruise missile were destroyed. Apparently they don’t leave fighters lying around on runways, if it’s working, it’s stored in an underground silo to make sure the equipment does not get full of sand, whodathunkiteh :)

Golf is a good walk wasted….but the majors are a bit magical…..

Celtic v golf is like comparing

    Celtic with chess ……

Golf is a sport for the rich who couldn’t kick a ball …..FACT

  15. Was in a local neutral watering hole which is quiet on match day, or so I presumed a la Celtic away days.

What a mistake they came out of every conceivable orafice and celebrated like there was no tomorrow.

DD good luck am thinking a wee fiver in the Hoff, even though I realises there are far better golfers in the frame

  17. GFTB

I think you are right re Golf being for the privileged except that I see that as true in almost any country in the world other than here in Scotland.

This is the only country I have been where you see folk standing at bus stops with golf bags over their shoulders. I think it is a bit broader in its engagement here.

Golf here is so much more accessible and thanks to initiatives such as the one currently undertaken by golfing heroes Paul Lawrie and Stephen Gallagher with their respective foundations then it will be even more so ‘ a game for all ‘ in the future.

I am not a huge fan of golf but I am in awe of guys like this who take so much of their own time to give something back a and really give ALL kids the chance to participate and enjoy their sport.

I was lucky to share a table with our Celtic Captain and Stephen at a dinner which raised £90k for Stephens foundation. Scott gave generously of both his time and support for the event. Stephen deserves huge recognition for his endeavour.

If only more of today’s over paid footballers saw the benefit of ‘giving’ and not just ‘taking’. A far cry from the EBT culture we saw across the city for sure.

  18. Gerryfaethebrig asserts that golf is a sport for the rich who couldn’t kick a ball. I have to tell him that our own Stevie Chalmers is a previous club champion at the game. I don’t think he can be accused of being unable to kick a ball, we’re still celebrating one of the times he did.

  19. I watched the game on & off every 10 mins & thought Aiberdeen like fit like.

My two older brothers became golf junkies when they stopped playing football, obviously I live in Coatbridge, Drumpelier golf, club had an unofficial no catholic policy, apart from the odd catholic that had money……… Golf is a “sport” for the wealthy :-)

Townhead golf course, I sold the old titelist or two :-)

I think “assert” isn’t the best description, opinion might work better, assert reads like you are forcing an opinion ……

Golf is a rich persons sport in my assertion
