  1. Mike in Toronto on

one suggestion on how to improve our play …

put in a rule … any player that receives the ball with his back to the goal and passes backwards … or runs until he is confronted by a defender, stops, turns back to the goal, and passes backwards …..

dont just drop them… fine him a week’s wages …. hell, shoot them! no questions/no exceptions….

bet you we’d see some more effort at the very least!

  2. Many so-called celtic fans on here tonight talking like those they profess to detest- reactionary, short sighted and stupid

    OR

Maybe just children throwing their toys out of the pram. Aw diddums!

RD only been here for 5 mins. FFS

If he turns it around, same people will be saying I knew he was going to be a great manager!

Fifteen ties in 3rd round of the Champions League.

ONE TEAM of the THIRTY has lost both legs.

    Speechless.

Good to hear the girls are alright. This is not what it should be about.

Well done Legia. Time to hold our nerve as a support. Genuinely feel for Ronny but too early to pull him.

  5. Billy Bhoy 05 on

Delia has a real trying job in front of him. His selection last week was poor but that was no reason for such a crap performance from his players. Suspect the dressing room will be in some disharmony

  6. lennon's passion on

Don’t really care what you dad told you. I seen a good bet and took it,that’s life. Been going home and away for the last 20 odd years and will be there supporting the team everywhere this year again. So don’t care what you think I’ve earned my stripes. Don’t like the manager and say so end off.

  7. In many ways, I could have coped with going out tonight so long as we played well. Last week wasn’t a one off, we’re in serious bad shape. Very worried. Our season could be over before September without Europa League.

  8. Only young Callum McGregor can take any pride in this match

    Time for some horse trading.

Not as bad as the humiliation of going out of business I would think mate HH

  10. In a way, we should be glad we are not in the CL. It would have been beyond embarassing.

But the decline from 18 months ago is painful. In fact, the decline from six months ago is painful!

  11. Longtimelurker on

We just got beat fair and square by a very ordinary team.

The SPFL is full of very ordinary teams.

Ronny and his team have one helluva job on their hands.

  12. ulysses mcghee - a demographic of one on

Although this is proof certain of the law of diminishing returns – a selling team needs to sell its better players – that means unless you unearth lots of gems, you will be left with? – so, my point is, forgetting Ronnie’s system – his selections over the past two games has been utterly perplexing – new players straight in, then not in – left backs left back – the return of Biton – Anthony suddenly in vogue & Griffiths out wide…

    This is a perfect storm.

From which no one is going to benefit…

    Except the Carrion Crows…

  13. Lost for words really but still a Celt….whether you call people mugs or not I will always support Celtic and have been through a lot of bad times but onwards and upwards.

Everyone has their opinion and that is mine.

  14. Well done Legia….thoroughly deserved.

Berg deserves great credit too for sweeping St Pats and us aside.

    Not good enough Celtic.

  15. for reasons already highlighted I can only talk about the first half. However, I do wonder about RD’s game plan. This team is simply not good enough to start playing fancy one touch passes through the middle leading to an opportunity for the striker. Equally, for a reason I cannot explain, the back 4 resembles a rabbit in headlights whenever the ball is lost in midfield (which is often).

He has a lot of work to do.

  16. My brother has bought a job lot batch of golf trousers on the net..it cost him a bit but they where selling pretty sharp initially and it looked like he might make a profit..however now he is left with all the unpopular sizes like 28waist 44 waist /long leg e.t.c he has nothing left to sell that anyone wants………peter lawell will be in the exact same position in about 3 weeks time!

  17. Fountainhall Bhoy on

As painful as it has been watching this tonight I have to say that I do not want our great club to ever be close to being to being liquidated like that mob across the city by spending money that we can’t afford. We are trapped in a league that will never produce the money that we need to compete at this level. Just makes what NL did all the more remarkable KTF

  18. Pure and utter p!sh.

    Much work to be done.

    Across the whole club.

Only celtic can do this kinda stuff.

Time for calm heads, steady hands and decisions being made.

Enjoy the rants. I’m off before the mysery merchants and mysterious new posters arrive…..

Btw – fair play to celtic tv. My first viewing. Pretty good.

  19. Painful viewing, much worse than the first leg

Ronny will take the flak but I think this performance/ result was coming even under NL

Team with no heart, little football and no direction.

PL has failed to build a sustainable strategy despite 10 years in charge, allowed NL to build his CV and focus on meaningless domestic records when the bigger prize for the club was a successful succession.

We need to back RD, no option short term, he has been dealt a bad hand.

VVD & FF will go, both have personal ambitions to pursue.

Mulgrew proven to be not up to it at top level, keep for transition if required but not first choice.

Stokes, poor ability at top level, poor attitude at every level, blame NL for extending contract

Griffiths not for me but unless we can sell, keep as an SPL playground bully

Desperately miss Scott Brown, he hides a multitude of sins, covers for lack of heart in Biton, Johanssen etc

Commons, not good enough at top level but crucial to our short term ambitions

Buy a couple of leaders, a wild card or 2 and then promote the youth.

A long but potentially interesting domestic season ahead.

Deila has clearly lost the dressing room. The board must see this experiment through unless the Rogue shareholder after Keane etc has some power and isn’t on the golf course or some race track.

Are there enough players to sell to buy half a team or will we fill with free transfers and loans?

    As per usual

    Fantastic updates

he knows more than the management team.

  22. We are all celtic supporters on here.

    Everyone’s is allowed an opinion.

This current board shame our history. Money-balls !!

Had we won tonight the modest signings alluded to by Ronnie would have happened.

Now it’s a sale and going by performances tonight there is a rush for the exit !!!

    That’s moneyballls folks !!!!!!!!!

Football is won on a pitch, not a spreadsheet #!!!

  23. The dream is over for another 12 months. Time to ship out those who want to leave or who we can get good money for (VVD, Forster, Commons etc.), give the manager the money to bring in his own players, and prepare for a season of transition.

  24. DubaiBhoy (nee LondonBhoy) on

The difference between now and 18 months ago.

    No Hooper

    No Ledley

    No Sammi

    No Wanyama

Plus no Brown and a not fit James Forrest

We have downsized dramatically. The writing was on the wall when Sammi wasn’t offered a new contract. Or as is more likely was offered a contract with a sizeable pay cut.

If this is our financial reality then we better get used to no Champions League football for the next few seasons.

  25. The Bhoy Saffron67 on

Tippy tappy sideways then backwards passing then crosses into box where no forwards are nothing much changed then

  26. ....PFayr supports WeeOscar on

    Humiliation…correct …goes well with embarrassing

    Balance sheet driven

    SFA / Polis toadying

    Hun loving ….Old Firm desiring

Our great club us really a shambles right now

Lawwell you had your £10m ….time up

  27. brnobhoy

Correct! People must be adaptable to change. We’re all asked to do so but neither the players, the managerial team and the board have done so.

Never happened, poor show from everyone except the fans, of both teams.

Well done Legia! Celtic have a lot to do.

  28. Might help if we could spell the new coach’s name correctly. He has enough problems already with this bunch of over paid unfit plonkers who dare to wear the Celtic shirt. Jock Stein was absolutely correct in this matter as he was in so many others.

    Hail Hail!

  29. iPaddy McCourt on

Walked out of Murrayfield in disgust after 63 minutes. Don’t think I’ve ever left a Celtic game that early.

I don’t blame the manager at all – he needs time. Some of those players should be ashamed of themselves though
