The (original) Yogi, John Hughes got it tight from the support, as did Stevie Chalmers. On occasion, they well deserved it too.
…..
Magic pal. That got me laughing .
Chalmers was utterly useless running with a ball.No brain,no control .
What a scoring record though.
If ever a player exemplified only being able to put the baw in the net that was Stevie.
Yogi.Sparkling run, beating four men and with the keeper to beat from 10 yds blootering it into the back of the terracing…hahaha.Magical memories mate.

I was at the game today and really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere. The difference that I can already see from last season is that Celtic have bulked up. It was a good robust, physical encounter today with a lot of good football being played. Not a dirty game by any means. Where Celtic players would have been edged off the ball last season they fought like demons to retain possession. Leicester were the hardest working team in the EPL last season. We made them really work hard today. It was a good game with a great atmosphere. The Green Brigade worked their socks off. We are much better going forward and taking less touches but there is still room for improvement. We need to tighten up at the back and be more clinical in front of goal and we will be one helluva team. Hopeful for Wednesday. I’ll be in Codta Adeje and looking for a pub to watch it but I’m beginning to have a good feeling.

To be fair, nowadays the support is so sensitive to players being injured, if a player did wear his socks at his ankles and was injured as a result, and ruled out for a period of time, he’d cop a pile of dung on here, and rightly so.

Who writes the match reports and headlines? What utter guff! I think I’ll start reading the SMSM again.
“Forrest fluffs spot kick glory” is the headline, it wasn’t the best penalty in the world but the keeper saved it.
It then says “Nadir Ciftci, Stefan Johansen, Scott Allan, O’Connell and Ryan Christie all made first-class jobs of their efforts from the spot.”
I don’t know about anyone else but O’Connell’s penalty was nearly a “fluff”.
Some of Leicester penalties were straight down the middle.
Later on in the article it slags Cifti for not scoring goals “until he goes in where it hurts in the penalty area.” He had 30 minutes compared to Dembele who had 60. How did Dembele do? To me he doesn’t look match fit.
Apart from the lazy journalism from CQN I enjoyed the game.
