we need to tighten up a bit and not leave so much space in front of our defence as the main thing now is not to concede but at the same time…..they are there for the taking if we can keep attacking them but it needs to be done with a bit of awareness to what we are leaving to exploit.
We’ve worried ourselves out the game a wee bit and gave them confidence. nothing to do with Malmo, more about us, perhaps holding onto an excellent lead.
Their right back is very poor and Forrest should try his luck against him for 15 minutes.
Excellent first half. Understandably took foot off gas a little, but that’s fine. Thats confidence. That’s experience.
Only blot for me is Izzy. I love the ghuy but he’s a liability right now. I’d bring CM on.

Now they are showing Griff’s goal from about 17 different angles and in slow motion.
Celebration was awesome.
25% of the tie done and dusted and you couldnt ask for more from the hoops.
We need to hold our shape better in the Celtic half, particularly JF who LG who are drifting into each others positions.

Very good performance but these Swedes are not yet feeling they are being beaten.
We could do with an early 3rd as they fancy their chances of sneaking, at least, one.
I think Boyata has been much much more disciplined tonight than he was at the weekend and is releasing the ball much earlier. Izzy’s issues are over-rated too. He is the best LB we have had since Jackie Mac.
We have out-passed them, out muscled them and out run them but they are hanging on in there- fair play to them.
An early goal and a few more corners would be welcome.
P.S. Chris Sutton makes much more intelligent observations, on James Forrest’s areas that need improving, than are commonly found on CQN.
Have to say, the Fox coverage is refreshing tonight. Half time, big plaudits for the bhoys.
I think the whole team has played well, but as someone who was worried that JF was stagnating I just have to say he has been a star tonight. Putting in tackles, leaving their players for dead..taking a few knocks and just getting on with it.
Celtic have put THEMSELVES under more pressure than Malmö have . They are there for the taking .
Seen better spfl sides,only difference being Malmo aren’t parking the bus,toothless up front,the ole sieve could contain this mob.
Delighted with that confident, attacking start. I’d still like one more and to concede none.

Good first half. Need to keep it tighter at the back. If we bide our time we could have this tie over and dusted
brilliant bit of awareness from johansen to drop out 5 yards from their defence to be there to receive the ball from stretch and play a perfect 1st time pass to griffiths for his goal.

A commanding first 45 mins. Need to replicate that in second half.
malmo are a bit more dangerous than Qarabag but not as good defensively. We need to keep on our toes at the back and not overcommit. There’s at least another goal in it for us here but a clean sheet is so important.
we need a professional european display the second half, no need for a gung-ho attitude, chances will come play with our heads, nothing stupid.
One incisive Team move second half and a 3-0 lead could put qualification to bed – Malmo will not come back from 3 down next week!
