Every crisis presents an opportunity- I’m hopeful progressive people (real ones not pretendy Obama types) might galvanise themselves in the face of a very obvious bogey man.

    I know what you are saying that the US and the west wanted to get rid of Assad so that they could increase their influence in the region and get their hands on the oil is correct. I also am fully aware that the Us armed ISIS (via McCain I think) and that placed the lives of 3 million Syrian Christians, who had previously been protected by Asad, in danger. I get very angry too about these matters. I don’t see how the ordinary man in the street can do much about these things. Our governments are elected mostly on issues like the economy, jobs, housing, pensions etc. I can’t remember the last time an election was decided on what was happening in the Middle East. I honestly don’t know what we can do to resolve any aspect of foreign policy.

     

     

    My initial intervention was made because you seemed to be suggesting that the Russians weren’t bombing Aleppo. You may well be right in rubbishing the source that I put up but we witnessed the bombing on the news over here and know that the Russians were involved. I know that the west have also had a hand in the destruction of Syria. However, to cut through all the bluster, I am glad that I live in the west and not in Russia.

    The US leader is an egotistical mentalist with small hands but a near insatiable ambition to be some strange messiah type taking his rightful place atop the globe.

     

     

    The Chinese have been pushed around and invaded for centuries by foreign imperialists but have recently amassed much of the world’s mineral reserves, US debt and a fine nuclear arsenal and blue sea fleet.

     

     

    The leader of North Korea makes Dave King look like Leandro Da Vinci and has nuclear missiles that fly wonky so might hit anyone. Or he may get grounded for killing another family member.

     

     

    Plenty of opprobrium, bassas and poor dead civilians to be found. No need to choose a side. They’re all at it.

     

     

    We however draw solace in remaining part of her majesty’s glorious empire with a leader who has held The Donald’s small intrusive hand in her own and will guide us wisely in these troubled times.

    Do you think getting caught tampering with the democratic presidential candidate selection electronic voting, might have been leaked by the Russians ? we’re no hearing much on that are we. It stopped electronic voting for the presidential election.

     

    So the electoral administration know she rigged the selection election and they allowed her to remain a presidential candidate.
