  1. Could have been worse I suppose, much better second half, hopefully we learn from this, but struggling to see what getting humped can teach you, two weeks to get it together and give the Belgians a going over.

  2. Joe Filippis Haircut on

Well the money bags club PSG were much to good for us and they will go far in the CL. Celtic were outplayed all over the park and our lack of fit Centre backs came home to roost. Our next game away to Anderlecht is now a cup final we need a result if we want to be in Europe after Christmas. I would not fault any Celtic player tonight they were just outplayed by a better team. We need to continue to keep building if we wish to improve in Europe.Well done to the Celtic support who tried hard to lift the team. H.H.

we beat barca who had a team together longer than PSG – all about tactics and BR let the side down tonight.

    ————————–

I missed that game. Was that during your adventure in the lower nether regions of Scottish football. When the gardener was cultivating hedges?

  4. Thanks for the match commentary everyone. It was a tough score to accept but Neymar… if indeed he moved to PSG to get out of Messi’s shadow and elevate himself another level then he needs to learn some humility. AR that was some CL baptism!

  5. I can’t remember the last time Sevco conceded 5 at home…

Actually, I can. And that was against a team whose entire squad cost less than ONE PSG player.

Ach well, that was a free game for us tonight, one of four we have this season. Good experience for the players, and they should seek to use that to press home their superiority in the SPL. All that matters for us in the CL this season is winning the head-to-head v Anderlecht.

The BBC match stats from tonight have PSG with 5 goals from just 6 shots on target, and Celtic with none from 4. So at the end of the day, we did limit their opportunities, it’s just that any opportunity they get they are likely to score. That’s what £400M gets you!

  6. SHEIK YERBOUTI

Nae surprise you’re on the night is it…

No posted for donkeys but Celtic get beat and there ye are..

Feck off to where ye were before eh…

  7. Playing the wrong team at the wrong time. Some experience for the young guys. Ralston went from boy to Bhoy.

  8. It might be the worst home defeat since 1895 but it was against probably the most expensive team assembled since the beginning of time. Context.

    agree 100%

    need better defenders too

  10. Best team I have seen play against us. Brilliant in defence as well as the obvious attacking menace. I expected us to lose heavily but am really disappointed we did.

    However…..

Nobody died, we go again in 2 weeks.

I’m off to read a book about golf. That was draining.

  11. We were well beaten by a very good football team.

They have a few world class players who showed it tonight.

Their work rate was exemplary and combined with touch and movement it was always going to be a difficult night for the bhoys.

Special mention to Broony who did not look out of place in such company.

Remember we are a young team who have a desire to improve.

Ralston and Tierney both faced very uncomfortable circumstances that will help them grow.

Paddy has the skill for this level and Ntcham played some decent passes though he struggled often.

Sinclair showed when team mates are up to speed he knows when and where to attack.

    SHEIK YERBOUTI

Nae surprise you’re on the night is it…

No posted for donkeys but Celtic get beat and there ye are..

Feck off to where ye were before eh…

boohoo I’m so sorry to hurt your feelings

    its fitbaw fer god sake

    grow up

  13. Unfortunately we were well beaten tonight by a good quick passing and moving PSG team.

Thanklessbtask for griffiths and Ralston acquired himself well but I thought too many of our players were not quite “at it” tonight.

  14. Says it all when you lose 5-0 at home, but are still looking forward going into work tomorrow to talk football and rip the pash oot the sevvies

  15. I think Ralston can be very proud of how he played tonight btw, he was up against it for what was effectively a Euro debut.

  16. We are all delighted when we qualify for the CL. That’s our win.

The £30 million we get is probably a years wage for that wee scrote neymar.

By the way I’d like to think ralston got to have a square go with the wee cheat in the tunnel. His massive wages wouldn’t have helped him in that scenario

  17. PSG did to use tonight what we do to others on a regular basis, hard to take but for some to slag us for losing to a team like that really don’t have a clue about football.

  18. Joe Filippis Haircut on

Bhoys be fair brendan Rodgers has improved us in Scotland and he has taken us in to the CL proper twice. However,I believe he is a novice in Europe but I believe he is a quick learner I am sure he knows we as a club and him as a manager cocked up our defensive cover going into the CL but no manager is 100% perfect and he deserves our support. H.H.

  19. Tonight underlined the importance of Scott Brown for our team.

Made a lot if important interceptions and used the ball well when he had the opportunity.

Not sure if he picked up a knock, looked tired at the end

  20. Cosy Corner Bhoy on

Well, just seen an excellent PSG team play at speedy passing game that we play in spl but much faster!

    Money talks right enough!

    Disappointed they got 5

Might not see next game thanks to the headbanger!

    Some player that no.25!!!!

  21. our weakness at centre back was totally exposed tonight against the dearest front 3 in the world , no shame there then but we have now tried ML, NB and young Ayer previously this season and none are or will make a cb, well mibby Ayer who has time on his side.

  22. Why on earth is anyone engaging with SHEIK YERBOUTI and steboy?

We all know that they are huns, we all know that their team died in 2012, we all know that the tribute act they now follow got pumped out of Europe at the first hurdle against progress. We also all know that they are on their arses and have no money

More to the point, they know all of this as well. Every time they post just put a wee smiley face after it, it says more than words could.

    :)

  23. Ah well…..still a Tim.On the domestic front we will beat Aberdeen,Hibs and hearts and others just to let them know we are the best.Safe journey home to my son and his bhoy and their supporters bus which left Belfast at

    nine this morning.

  24. A better 2nd half from Celtic, but overall we we were outclassed, and out played.

I had hoped their defence would struggle against our fast forwards….they didnt, I have no complaints.

Even with the own goal at the end, the PSG guy went by Scott Sinclair as if he was wearing tackity boots ?

whenever a Celt managed to get a tackle in and the ball would come off the PSG player leaving him STILL in control

If PSG come close to that sort of form against Bayern they will beat them twice.

Watching tonight was ” Deja Vu” from 1995.

    No excuses.

We will take it out against Ross County this weekend/….hopefully ?

Neymar great wee player but still a wee shoite !

    HH

  25. blantyretim is praying for the Knox family on

I will hold my head up high as always because I am a Tim

PsG , owned by a Qatar family because they bribed UEFA for the World Cup

Football is corrupt and it’s a sad day for us all

Thank God we have Stuart Regan

  26. Joe

I think he has improved us in Europe.

We had a less nail biting progress through the qualifying stages than last season.

I’m sure Brendan will make tactical and personnel changes for Anderlecht.

  27. Can’t agree with Sutton tonight.

At no time in history has the divide between Celtic and the top team been as vast as it is now. As long as teams are allowed to spend the way PSG have, this sort of result is going to be more and more common for teams in the smaller league’s.

Celtic were not embarrassing tonight, they just play in a different financial universe.

  28. Poor perfomance.

We are half finished and some people did not turn up.

SA — he sent his shadow.

SB — back to RD era worst.

ON — rabbit in the headlamps.

TR — seemed to ne playing in the huff.

Possibly the worst part of tonigjt was the situation with PR.

Did not have a great game and got little support.

AR must have had orders not to cross the halfway line.

However he seems to have been the focus of the last three months at the expense of everything else.
