  1. Ernie, ballbhoys. Incredible Madden took it on board and spoke to ground staff instead of laughing at Gio.

  2. SUPER CELTS….

Our Pace and Fitba especially in the 1st half was a joy to behold and we were RELENTNESS in that 1st half we left the Huns DAZED and CONFUSED !

The Huns were like Punch Drunk Boxers on the ropes.

REO, TAYLOR, CCV and JJ and Carl were excellent as was Matt O’Riley who looks as though he has been in that Celtic team for YEARS !

Well done ANGE, as his Timing of our Subs were also great.

Big BONUS also as there will be NO Damage to the Toilets inside Celtic Park tonight, although I suspect many Toilets in Hun Pubs and Hooses, will need fixing !

BRILL just Feckin BRILL Celtic ”

    HH.

  3. We witnessed some wonderful performances tonight and a wonderful show of leadership and bravery by our Captain Fantastic, Callum McGregor. We’re so lucky to have him. Everyone else was simply brilliant. Jota, Juranovic, Hatate, O’Riley and Carter-Vickers were special as was Hiorgios who was so unlucky but ran them ragged. Everyone in a hooped shirt (and our goalie) was a STAR.

I’m celebrating with a GlenAllachie and a few cans of lager. Thank you Ange!

  4. Only negative is not seeing any greeting faces trundling out the stadium wrapped in their butcher aprons

We need away fans section open again. its what footballs all about.

  5. AoW

    UJ

He worked his bollix off tonight and never gave them a breather, with proper coaching, which he is gonna get will do it for us, no doubt about it.

A MASS brawl broke out in the east end of Glasgow this evening ahead of the Old Firm clash.

Dozens of revellers were filmed spilling out of a The Alexandra bar on the city’s Duke Street around an hour before Celtic hosted arch-rivals Rangers at Parkhead.

Cops could be seen scrambling to the scene

A number of fights broke out

Cops were scrambled to the scene, with officers arriving in vans and restraining a number of punters on the street.

Shouting and sirens can be heard in the clip as revellers attempt to flee the scene.

Brawling punters spilled out of the pub and onto the street, where many were met by officers.

Drivers were forced to bring their cars to a halt as the crowd flooded onto the road.

The brawl continued further down Duke Street, with some punters continuing to scrap with each other, despite the sizeable police presence.

Dozens of hooded and masked revellers are then seen charging up Bluevale Street, away from the cops.

It comes as Celtic take on Rangers at nearby Parkhead. The first time the sides have met midweek for more than a decade.

The derby was postponed from its original date on January 2 after the winter break was brought forward.

Earlier we told how Celtic fans let off flares as they headed to tonight’s crucial Old Firm clash.

Video footage shows Hoops supporters setting off green pyrotechnics in the Gallowgate area of Glasgow as they made their way to Parkhead.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Rangers fans gathered at Ibrox to see their heroes off.

And they had a pyro display of their own, with fireworks sent into the sky as the players headed off.

More Gers diehards gathered on a pedestrian bridge across the motorway and set off red flares as the coach passed beneath them.

  12. Ernie Lynch,

On Gio complaining about the ballboys not getting the ball back quick enough, great comment from Mc Coist

“Dont know what he is complaining for, they are doing Rangers a favour”

  13. Best game yet for Celtic:

    Gia

    Josip

    Hatate (aye, again)

    O’Riley

All others great but the four above were outstanding IMO.

  14. Absolutely magnificent first half display. Thought Gio Giakoumakis had a great 45 minutes. He deserved a goal.

    Just can’t get enough.

    HH, the journey continues.

  15. That’s a seven point turnaround in no time…..

and a ten goal goal difference, that’s a point in any language

    Well done the mighty Celtic

They might have to start banning these mid-week derbies….

    If we keep winning them
