  3. There was a time when you would be totally relaxed going into a home game against a struggling Ross County.

Now it’s edge of the seat stuff, only positive is I’m getting a bigger thrill out of the games.

Only negative is the downer if we don’t win.

  4. RC, A good few years ago Steve Staunton was Manager of Ireland & picked a side like yours against lowly Cyprus.

Presumably thinking along the same lines as your good self, I remember pre game being enthused by the team.

    We were beaten 5-2,

A footballing lesson I will never forget.

  5. The Blogger Formerly Known As GM on

They have inside info that one of our players will get sent off before K.O.

  6. You know it’s funny I couldn’t log in on the last blog, but somehow I’m already logged into this one.

Actually it’s not that funny…(no as funny as dreaming aboot eating a giant marshmallah….that’s for sure)

Anyways, always had a lot of time for John Hughes II and never quite understood how and why we, was it Tommy, let him go. Great character, and did well with Hibs after that.

Ross County? When did they last ever beat us?

    Wis it? Oh aye

  7. It’s a real mistake to persist with Hazard.

Hazard flapped at nearly every cross in the cup final and was, in part, responsible for 2 goals.

Sevco, with Barisic and Tavernier, will be lumping balls into the box right on top of him the whole game. I can’t see any result at Ibrox with such a shaky keeper.

Aside from that, an exciting team selection.

  8. In aboot them Celtic, let’s keep a clean sheet and win. I’d be giving the team a target, win the next 3 games and don’t concede. Let’s go to the bigot dome with our chins up and a workable plan and see what they’re made of.

The marathon starts tonight Celtic, let’s crack on and start doing what needs to be done.

  9. RollingStone – I don’t think he’s the long term answer but he has to be played today. We want to see if the heroics from the penalty saves has boosted his confidence and where that takes him.

People forget , hearts had a one on one late in extra time to win the game – Hazard got down sharply to save and hold the ball. He had a nervy match in front of a nervy defense and with absolutely not protection from the ref with Naiclass shenanigans.

    Hope he plays well

I see we are linked with the Dundee united keeper – he’s a big commanding goalie who played great against us.

  10. There is no way we will go to the bigotdome with Hazard in goal . So I can’t understand playing him tonight

  11. If we don’t get 3 points tonight the feel good factor from Sunday will disappear like snow off a dyke,

hate to think that Neil has already written off the league, but thats yet another experimental defence he has put out,

OK, its only Ross County, but if they can beat us with a manager they didn’t think was any good, what can they do with a brand new manager?

Good Luck to John Hughes btw – football needs guys like that. However for tonight hope you have no luck John.

  12. Some great support for Auldheid today.

Auldheid’s own contribution as eloquent and measured as ever. Heroic effort from a true legend.

Much more optimistic about this evening’s game. Lesson learned, surely.

    Now, COYBIG.
