  1. Lennybhoy , stole my thunder ya bounder ye ! only kidding . Not about me, it’s about us all. Just back in from count but can confirm as lennybhoy said earlier . Our bucket collection raised £7773.92 today as well as a bairds bar badge , a new brolly and a sim card ! Thank you so much to all the bucketeers , donors , volunteers, fellow trustees, celtic and the weather . We had a great day again . We collected almost all we need for our SB’s and that is a great base for the season. Gonna chill now and catch the game on replay (not seen a flag day game in 3 years now)) but what we get from days like today more than makes up for it . Thank you again from the heart of my bottom . A tired but pure dead chuffed Sannabhoy.

    Hail Hail

  2. Bankier has the maist fake smile, lined up with Dungcaster. It is easy to smile when you get so much MMMMONEY. JC was JC – A True CELT.

  3. I know it’s a bit vulgar to talk about wages, however I do believe that all of the numbers we see in the press are fluffed up by a huge margin.

There is not a single player at Celtic Park who is underpaid in the true sense of the word, there are many who earn less than what we are encouraged to believe.

  4. I’ve been defending Jamsie for last 18 months but think it’s time for him to move on if no improvement by Xmas. He just doesn’t look like he wants to give his all playing for the famous hoops – wish some former players would explain theirs no where like Paradise

  5. Congratulations to the Kano Bucket collectors. I am proud to say I was there at the first bucket collection…..my support now takes a different approach but I still remember the thrill when Gordon let us know what we had done.

Little acorns do make great things…

  6. Easy to see why Scepovic is third choice striker.

On today’s lacklustre performance he’s lucky to get a place on the bench.

  7. glendalystonsils on

It’s a bit ironic that the improvement in James Forrest’s fitness has coincided with a drop off in form and in his contribution to the team.

Radio 4 says” and in Scotland , Celtic started their defence of their Premier League crown with a 2-0 victory over Ross County”.Not Partick Thistle. The season has started. Relax.

A fantastic total and you are quite right to be proud.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

You want him to move on for his own sake? or for Celtics sake?

His performance against Udinese away was sparkling, likewise that big Greek Enigma, OHMS My Lord.

Ronny knows he has a Gem on his hands, getting him MAXIMUM fit is the first hurdle.

Getting him tracking back hard, will be another hurdle,

This guy has the potential to, well, aye I know, it is STILL potential….

Apologies my dear friend, saw the news on Facebook and Twitter, bursting with pride just like you I just had to share the wonderful achievement.

Can I ask, how many Season Tickets does Kano have?

The Sun shone for the collection, that was down to Kano…:)

  13. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Great to see a true Celtic great unfurl the flag today.

John Clark , another of our unsung heroes.

I love the bit in footage from the Racing game where he raises his fists like a boxer when a Racing player committed another violent act on one of our players.

We went to the Merchant City Festival after the game and saw Sean Fallon’s son and grandson there. Quite a few hoops fans about and thankfully no horribles about. Probably the reason there was a nice party atmosphere in the Merchant City.

  14. From the opposite side of the stadium we could see LG was hurt after the pen

and should have been taken off right away. He hobbled off and was allowed back on.

LG played for a further 10 minutes before being subbed.

    Amateur stuff .

  15. PETEC

Loved how he performed maybe two seasons ago but for his own career he needs to improve big time by end of year or find a new challenge that revitalises him elsewhere. I would dearly love him to be terrorising defences in the hoops for quite some time to come .

Agreed, but If Leigh is fit for Wednesday, all will be forgiven.

Thought today was a forgettable performance for some players. Boyata had a cracking tackle in the second half but apart from that looked nervy and quite simply not near the level we need. We have been spoiled with two football playing centre backs for some time. When VVD goes we will struggle to get the ball forward through condensed teams who sit in their own half. Ambrose also had several moments of ineptitude.

Ambrose has consistently shown he can’t cut it on the big stage but today he had several mistakes.

These two put pressure on the others to Harry and chase. I suppose it kept the game interesting but we could have done without it in the days before a make or break game worth millions to the club.

I was impressed with Janko when he came on. Commons should start against Qarabag in place of Johansen. Having seen Armstrong drop back and through the muddle I’d give him a shout in a 3 with Brown and Biton, Commons and McKay Steven just off them and Griff up front.

If Mulgrew was fit I’d have him in at Centre half before Boyata. It was proliferate stuff today. Totally no pressure and yet two or three saw fit to pass to Ross County. Couple of changes should see us tighten up.

I restored my computer back to it’s factory settings, its ripping through stuff as long as the CQN tab is closed.

When the CQN tab is open then the problems start.

The phone is fine apart from logging me out every few minutes.

Delighted to announce that after our count, the amount raised is £7773.92! Absolutely fantastic! Thank you everyone!

  20. stevieq64,

He is likely to Shine in Europe because of his directness, and hopefully, his pace.

It is obvious that he has the Talent, I’m concerned he isnae tough enough to come through the Boo Boys that ain’t encouraging him enough.

Jimmy Forrest is a Human Being like me and you, when a lot of the Support are not kind towards you, that must be very hurtful.

Sure its a Grand old Team

  21. Glendaly

Leigh is our main man on Wednesday.

We are seriously vulnerable in defence.

We will need Biton in midfield as he looks like our only mf player who can pass a ball.

    Play it tight in midfield.

Up front play GMS with LG.

And hope we get a lot of set pieces and corners.

  22. glendalystonsils on

    Gordon64

We also need to make sure we capitalise on corners better than we did today.

  23. Fantastic sum raised by those with buckets today, well done to all of you who made the time and effort to get involved.

  24. Brown was awful on Wednesday. He lost his composure and was lucky not

to have been sent off. Cool heads required in the heat on Wed night.

  25. glendalystonsils on

For those intending watching the game on BT on Wednesday, the KO is 5.30. Presumably because of time difference.

  26. 16 roads - Celtic über alles... on

    It’s early days.

The main objective is to win,and the team has won every competitive game thus far.

Slow enough start, fair enough, however the new players need a wee bit of time to adopt.

There’s only one thing certain – the team is going to get better.

    No worries.

  27. The Pressure is intense.

The pressure to get to the CL proper is a lot more than Money when it comes to Celtic.

Celtic have driven down their wages to the Heroes.

    Stay Strong.
