its not time to panic – its time to act and bring in someone to galvanize this football club. Are we really going to wait until we lost the league before taking bold action ?

    Yes

  2. Thing is Lenny has achieved some half decent results away in Europe, no easy feat, but time and time again we are outhought outfought and outcoached at home under the same manager. We are not the fortress we once were full house or empty park. That is the simple reality that we face now. Am paraphrasing Jurgen Klopp here but you can have eleven good players on the pitch doesn’t mean you are a good team.

  3. Our tactics ,if we have any, isway behind the times of the modern game , we have a dinosaur manager with no coaching staff ,

Celtica great club living in the past 😡

  4. Worst ever home performance in Europe, since the last one a few weeks ago.

    We are going backwards.

Fitness, tactics, formation, hunger and attitude are all massively influenced by the manager and coach(es).

The players don’t intentionally want to play badly. The manager has to carry the can.

    His team, his tactics.

  5. We’re less than two months from visiting Ibrox. The league will be lost in the next 8 weeks.

Sutton slagging everyone except his mate – the man in charge of this cluster duck.

  6. JINKYREDSTAR on 5TH NOVEMBER 2020 9:57 PM

Apart from anything else our fitness is pathetic- I watched a chunk of deer hun’s game tonight, they were flying into Benfica. Some of our guys ran out of steam at sixty minutes, ntcham never had any to start with and Eddie is in negative steam territory from kick off.

spot on…..the hun looks good dare i say it. yep totally flying into benfica. We seem to be jogging pace.

  7. Where to start?

So many players playing under capability/potential. So fragmented/patchy against WELL-ORGANISED sides.

We have systemic issues; mainly that we don’t have a workable/winning one. Heads are down big time!

Can’t see Laxalt wanting to hang around for more of this pesh; he’s better class than what we offer him.

If PhilMacGiolla’s claim that DD already showed Neil a yellow card, tonight will surely have been a 2nd.

    GUTTEDCSC

  8. I’d never watched Duffy before when we signed him – I had the chance to see him play a couple fo games for Ireland and I knew instantly he was not what we needed. I genuinely think he plays with heart and throws himself around but he lacks pace and doenst compensate with smart positioning.

compare him to davy weir – he was 65 and still organized those around him, got the boot in before players turned etc.. Duffy I=does none of that. Like weir, he needs pace beside him – maybe Julien will bring the best out in Duffy , but its hard to see it.

  9. Numb after that.

For the first time, I now believe we won’t we win the League.

No point in scapegoating an player or either Keeper, Defenders, Midfield or Attack, we were absolute shite all over the pitch.

I understood we weren’t playing well but I genuinely thought we would find our mojo and go on a good run.

Was pleased with Lille & Aberdeen and thought we were turning the corner but we are back on our ass now.

Bad and all as things are, the world or the League wont stop, we have to try & win at Motherwell.

    Moi on his fon

    Get him tae feck

Sums up the attitude of the players. he still gets paid, doesn’t give a flying ****

  11. Guy said to me today -” the Hun are far better than you

with far worse players. And that’s down to the manager”

  12. My mate and I have been watching Celtic since the 50s. When I phoned him at the end of the game, before I could say anything, he said “That’s embarassing”. Indeed it was. What else can you say? We were dreadful. I don’t feel as bad as I did after the deid team game. but we seemed for parts of tonight’s game even poorer.

  13. Lets be honest, that was a step too far for Neil. Nobody can seriously think that was evenly remotely acceptable on any level. He’s a legend of the club and always will be. But its over. Neil should inform Peter tonight of his intention to step down after Sundays match at Motherwell. Had hoped Neil could see the season out and leave with his head held high but he needs to go now for the greater good.

  14. Ray Winstone's Big Disembodied Heid on

Neil Lennon hasn’t a clue. Never mind ten in a row or indeed a quadruple treble, he is an immediate threat to the wellbeing of our club in these desperate times and has to be sacked as a matter of urgency.

In all my years supporting Celtic I have never seen a more inept manager particularly given the huge financial advantage the club has over everyone else in Scotland and the superiority of the players to those of all the other teams in the league including sevco, and many of the teams who have pumped us in Europe.

For God’s sake Neil, do the right thing and just go.

  15. As bad as it is – it’s better to hit rock bottom tonight then to do it on sunday. We’ve lost no ground in the league tonight and that’s my only silver lining.

I’d take WGS, MoN or literally anyone else because I know how this ends if Neil Lennon is left in post.

  16. ONENIGHTINLISBON…

Sutton on criticising Griff for his fitness. He actually made a difference and showed some fight.

Chris is like a number of posters on here, Lennon cannot be criticised.

To be fair to big Sutton, there’s an implied criticism of the club. Who’s responsible for Griff, his fitness and ultimately his behaviour? The management team. If Griff has been allowed to drift out of fitness – who was checking up on him over lockdown? Where was the ‘unrivalled sports science and player training schemes’ we were told so much about?

That said, after a hideous game, you make statements with your heart, not your head. It’s best to avoid such things.

  17. onenightinlisbon on

The board assumed that we would stroll to ten and that Lennon would be an acceptable appointment due to his links with the club. That sums these sheisters up. A real forward thinking board would have appointed the best manager they could get and build for beyond the ten with that appointment.

The absentee landlord will have to act now but will he?

  18. Lennon says ” Lack of hunger – Don’t know where that performance came from – The hungrier team won tonight- that is down to the players – Embarassing -yes that is fair – Definite lack of hunger – LAZY – Moi better not have been looking at his phone – Europe gone now

  19. lets all do the huddle on

Dermot will bring in Roy Keane until end of season!

as long as he brings his boots with him

  20. onenightinlisbon on

    P8DDY on 5TH NOVEMBER 2020 10:18 PM

Fair comments pal but Sutton constantly refuses to criticise Lennon. Remember him with Rony?

  21. ‘He better not have been….’

NFL’s reply when the commentator does a Lee Wallace about Mo looking at his phone after being subbed.

    Total red herring.

And to be honest, Neil might as well be on his phone when he sits in the dugout doing fek all

Lennon says ” Lack of hunger –

If he actually said that then the lack of hunger is down to him and his management team. It’s their job to instill the hunger and passion in the players.

The professionalism left our club same time as ‘the rat’

    Best comment of the night.

The rat had the highest of expectations of our players.
