  1. Slip slides back up the road in a freezing East End over the bridge at the Clyde

to polar Ruglen whilst the toffee nosed Tims quaff away inside the CL sprawling

    big bouncy Gazebo.

Celtic were again magnificent again, to a man where in euro format we break and score.

    Defend break score, defend.

Incredible performances from Commons,Kayal, Samaras, Brown and Mulgrew, resolute

defending from Lustig, Ambrose, Wilson, and Izzy. Hooper’s predatory instinct justifies his inclusion, and Neil Lennon selected the best possible eleven on the night.

10 points another first for Celtic.

  2. The Battered Bunnet – Izaguirre was 20 yards up the pitch trying to get back and no one was able to cover. Not the only mistake though – in the move that led to their goal we were brushed aside with ease.

Then there was the goal itself – brilliance or a cross that was off target? I thought he was trying to float it over to the back post.

  3. What a fantastic achievement tonight.

Ive been very critical of Kris Commons but i have to say he was excellent tonight.

Thought Kayal and Wilson were terrific as well.

Would love Dortmund but really hope we dont draw Man U, would be gutted at that.

Bhoys and Ghirls enjoy tonight then its on to Rugby Park to hopefully start a strong league run.

    Hail Hail

  4. Seriously…..when is the draw.

There are travel plans to be made incorporating mrs. miki.

    You understand.

    I know.

  5. Really enjoyed tonight and overjoyed by our achievement.

2 players who have been relentlessly criticized as lazy overweight bassas scored our goals.

We’re getting very good at the criticism and not very good at the enjoyment, As Edward U is finding out tonight ( a wee personal welcome back Ed, from me).

If you are feeling as much joy as I am tonight, you should be able to find it in your heart t let comments slide by from EU, izzy or CCE.

These are the good times. We are privileged. Let’s hope we can become good enough to deserve better.

I have always rated and admired Samaras – posted earlier today that he would shine ( I actually said ‘score’) because CL is his natural level. Technically matched only by commons imo within our squad –

I’m grateful he isn’t interested in leaving – not interested it would appear as I suspect suitors will come calling.

    Armageddon??? – bring it on!!

  7. The crowd got noisy when the Spartak playing was wasting time pretenting to be injured. RTE tv also said that Barca must have scored. It was because that fud was wasting time.

I can’t believe that there are some on here who would rather have a dig at Ed instead of rejoicing over our qualification for the CL last 16….!

Celtic fan….or sectarian bigot? You decide (in a dodgy Geordie accent)…

    So there you go.

For the third time out of three, when Celtic play Benfica in the CL, Celtic qualify from the group.

Shalke or Mallaga – the best chance to progress?

  10. Wonderful achievement.

Does anyone know how many other teams in the last 16 went through the qualifying that Celtic did?

  12. I backed Hooper for first against Hearts and said to the bhoys he would score first tonight and guess what, put cash on him against Hearts and never bothered tonight :)

  13. Is ‘shady’ sober?

Or has he spilled his bevvy all over the blog and that’s why the ink is runnin’?

  14. i apologise for Saturday night and anybody i offended

i will not post on here again after tonight…unless i see anybody ever give Samaras any c…rap on here

the guy is immune from any more nonsense

  15. CultsBhoy – I first saw Armageddon in the Odeon on Renfield Street in 1998.

I like this 2012 version better though, I don’t wanna miss a thing. (thumbsup)

    Yep noted :)

  17. Does anybody think we should punt this Samaras character?

“When Adam delved and Eve span, who was then the gentleman?”

    Answer: Edward Ursus. (thumbsup)

Id sooner hear what the gentlemans opinion is regarding his own favoured team rather than ours.

Are you not curious as to his opinion on that rancid mobs actions?

Great team selection tonight. In a sense it was a shot to nothing game – every thing to gain and little to lose – Europe beckoned regardless so Lenny was quite gallous fielding Hooper, Samaras and Commons…then adding Lassad in.

    Well done Lenny!
