  1. FOR A PEOPLE AND A CAUSE on

Jaysus almore thanks for the croker result !

Had it recorded and on here for the updates from paradise and was only 10 mins into it

Hogan stand for me and the bhoy amarach and Dermo to steal the show

  2. Joe Filippis Haircut on

Well done St.Johnstone they showed that they are not a bad outfit. If we had scored half the chances we created it would have been an easy win but we lacked the killer touch. We needed in the first half to play with a bit more pace the pace improved in the second half. Now for me the Saints goal was offside but Gordon made a complete hash of his kick out and did it more than once durng the game McLean did the right thing by sticking it in the net and the ref favoured the Saints. For me we need to get the finger out in the transfer window and bring in at least 3 quality players. H.H.

  3. Think Aberdeen won 4-3 ( to whoever was asking).

Willie Collum – just not up to the task of top flight refereeing.

I’ll take the draw, still unbeaten.

  4. The fix seemed to be in as soon as the thugs scored. Cannot remember so many loose ball’s going a begging and not once did our bhoys get a shot away.

We played very well the last 30 but no luck.

Collum is still a cheating useless piece of shit.

Defender, striker and left back needed.KT starting to look a wee bit of the pace.

  5. The Green Man says SACK THE Board on

We dug in well to get equaliser.

    St Johnstone played well.

    Fair result.

How that late siege didn’t yield a second goal for us, I’ll never know.

I really hope Simunovic is back to fitness soon, and that Brendan has Craig Gordon working overtime on his kicking.

  7. Need loads of effort on the transfer front.

We need a bit of variety — the build from the back means we are a little bit one dimensional.

The pass the parcel stuff is becoming too routine.

We are probably not as good a team as the hype would suggest.

BR needs to shake things up a bit.

    The team.

    The attitudes

    The tactics.

    The coaching

The low rent, low ambition business plan.

  8. MADMITCH

Aye yer right we could start hoofing like huns…

You should get on to Brendan and tell him, that after a ten thousand mile round trip his team are nae use…

  9. glendalystonsils on

One or two reports appearing , saying Coetzee might have a problem in passing the medical. I’m sure we’ll have alternatives lined up as we really need to have a strong CB partnership in place for PSG.

  10. Brendan takes responsibility for there goal so no complaints there but they carried a lot of luck today on any other we could have scored 5 or 6. International s up next good time for our players to have a rest & recharge the batteries & onwards from there

  11. South Of Tunis on

“Without a doubt -he is the worst Referee I have ever seen.”

Vladimir Petkovic -Lazio Manager.(after Lazio had been the victim of Collum’s ineptitude )

Some Weren’t convinced it was ineptitude ,some thought Willie was doing a job for his UEFA Masters.

  12. For A People And A Cause: Tá brón orm:-)

Enjoy the game tomorrow. Still hoping for a ticket.

    Up de Dubs.

We’ll never be as good as some fans hype us up to be, it’s been this way for many a year for Celtic.

Some fans need to appreciate the good times without over hyping or thinking the world is coming to an end (or both some fans).

We are what we are. Enjoy it.

By the way I thought St johnstone were crap & only scored with a freak goal

    ———

I thought SJ were decent, probably one of, if not the toughest game we’ll face at home this season.

  15. glendalystonsils on

We were streets ahead of St. Johnstone. Could and should have won comfortably without being at our best.

They may have got a draw but they didn’t match us in any department.

  16. The Green Man says SACK THE Board on

    GlenDalys

I dont think they matched us, but they got a result. Some teams get hammered 5-1 at Celtic Park:)

  17. There’s the BBC report, jeez what a shower of *****

    FULL-TIME Celtic 1-1 St Johnstone

Celtic preserve their long unbeaten run thanks to substitute Callum McGregor’s 79th-minute equaliser.

Saints had chances to extend their lead before that moment, but the reigning champions will also be ruing the opportunities they had to win the game in the closing minutes.

  18. JFH @ 5.05

Regarding our plans for the future we seem to be in the phoney war at the moment.

Everybody has their price — no issue just the way of the world.

But we are in limbo because PL knows there are real money offers out there for MD / JS / SA.

Probably some inquiries with big numbers for KT as well.

Consequently we have a second rate bean counter — frozen in the headlamps — stuck staring at the pound signs.

We have a manager trying to build a better team but stuck in limbo.

What is the budget and who will he have to replace before he can build.

Not a great place to be as we do not currently seem to have leadership.

PL seems to be talking to the press after a — very welcome — period of silence.

BR doesn’t seem to be working with certainty — just half a dozen plates in the air and with less and less time to catch them all.

    Bit wasteful at the moment.

  19. The Green Man says SACK THE Board on

    Starry Plough

Comes with the territory, no surprises there.

Its what we have come to expect, Gollum didnt let himself down.

  20. FOR A PEOPLE AND A CAUSE on

Seems to me it’s open season on tierney now

Some bekenbauer put his studs into his leg last season which could have ended his career and a yellow card followed

We all know what happened at the cup final and now today’s incident

What constitutes a red card for our opponents these days ?

  21. glendalystonsils on

    THE GREEN MAN

St. J might not be brilliant but they look a helluva lot better than the 5-1 shower. I just hope they prove it when they play them-))

  22. Ralston a wee bit out of his depth. Poor back passing but CG under unnecessary pressure. CG should have done better with the clearance though. Young right back seldom played passes forward apart from the odd hoof up the park. Thats what he should have done when we lost the goal. Sometimes its smart to “clear your lines”

  23. The Green Man says SACK THE Board on

    GlenDalys

I think you might see St J play rather differently against sevco:)

Im sure you will be surprised:)

  24. FOR A PEOPLE AND A CAUSE on

Almore it’s all Ireland final like the scramble

Think today could be end of fitzmaurice how they beat us in the league final I’ll never know

Mayo should have ate them last week

  25. Unbeaten in how many????

    Invincible, undefeated and unrepentant……

    Keep goin’ Celts.

    —————–

I’d imagine that BR has told all his defenders to play the ball back to the keeper and clearing your lines isn’t an option.

We’ve played plenty of risky balls back to CG and it’s been fine, we continued to play these balls after losing the goal so I’d imagine BR is happy with how the defence are carrying out his instructions.

  27. SP @ 5.16

    Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy.

That is your analysis and no our attitude.

We have the same issues before we have a six thousand mile return trip as we had before it.

The problems are inherent with the team not due to a glut of air miles.

We are 1D — always building from the back.

We put ourselves under pressure with pass the parcel antics when certain players can’t handle the responsibility.

CG takes the huff on a regular basis and usually this results in a chip out the park 15M from the half way line — Today unfortunately it did not.

  28. We have gone 53 domestic games unbeaten, today we dominated, gave away a stupid goal, frustrated by a poor referee, hit the bar a couple of times, a few great saves from their keeper and all on the back of a midweek Champions League game in the middle of Asia. We still didn’t lose & were very unlucky not to win.

Yet there are Posters full of ideas of ‘what’s wrong’ & how it should be put right.

There is absolutely nothing wrong, we have a bloody good team & a bloody good Manager, we will drop a point here & there and dare I say it, eventually lose a game, so what, it’s called football, these things happen.

  29. The Green Man says SACK THE Board on

    Corkcelt

Yes indeed, thats a fair analysis. Im happy enough.

We will get better as the season goes on.

We cant win every game we play.

  30. If Sviatchenko goes back to Denmark which would not be a surprise, then we need two Centre Halves to compete with Jozo, last week it was known Coetzee had injured his hamstring so how can he pass a medical, nobody in the academy squad is capable yet, I also think we need another goalscorer, Dembele is injured a lot for a young guy, I dont know if this is a new hamstring injury or by pushing him for the cup final it has worsened the issue, the French Under 21 coach said he was injured in the summer and could not play for them, so this has not been resolved he plays against Linfield and out again, to expect Leigh Griffiths to constantly lift the heavy loads is unrealistic and means no chance of some bench time for him to rest weary limbsI, hope we are very active and have the people lined up to come in, time is now running out.
