  1. Collum is incompetent. There are a trail of teams across Europe who will testify this, in fact there are a trail of teams across Scotland who will concur. Aberdeen don’t want him to referee their games and Neilson when he was Levein’s chief lackie at Hearts said they practised playing with 10 men when he was refereeing one of their games.

Why would Brendan not go for them then ?

I honestly think BR has the final say, if he doesn’t fancy the player he won’t do it, by the way Spanish fitba and the Balkans doesn’t mean you can perform at Celtic Park :-)

I will start worrying when BR starts moaning about not getting the players HE wants, I quite like the fact Celtic, Aberdeen & St Johnstone are unbeaten now in “our” wee Scottish league competition :-)

  3. 50 shades of green on

Hope take F wee Jonny bhoy Can play left back, cause if /when Paddy signs it will be his only chance of getting a game . :-)

All kidding aside I think if anything the wee mhan is showing a bit of nerves when selected, hope he settles down soon.

Still if we get 1 each draw in our next home game most of us will be delighted.

    A compilation of today’s honest mistakes ???

My wee rant is if I ever win the lottery I will pay somebody to get Davie Weirs Celtic v Rangers compilation, he licked out at Marc Antione Fortune after a MAF was fouled, he grabbed wee Skippy by the throat (acting as a mediator ?) that bam pulled and kicked anything that moved in a green & white top and and can hardly remember him getting booked… his only saving grace …. he took the Sevs for every penny he could in the end :-)

You accuse others of talking bollixs I accuse you of the same, it’s fair game on here no personal offence meant.

Olivier Ntcham has just spent a season in Italy playing in their top league, he could have stayed at Man Cty had he wished but he decided that he wanted to play football, we have given him that chance, there are players out there who would relish that chance, Jozo is another who falls into that catagory, VvD, big Vic, Ki all could have gone to other clubs but chose us in the hope they could get their dream move to england, but as ever it will be down to money and how much we offer them, I accept we may well have to pay more to get players to come to scotland, but they are out there.

Spot on, Oliver is a great example but by all accounts at Genoa (?) he played plenty of games but wasn’t exceptional (thankfully for us :-) am pretty sure Oliver was just a snap decision, by the way like you I want more signings but these days there is plenty more obstacles in the way, again I will worry when BR starts complaining :-)

How did Girvan get on today?

Bad result for Cumbernauld lost 3.2.to Renfrew

They were 2.0 very early, pulled it back to 2.2 and then got hit with a sucker punch at the death.

One draw and my goodness, you don’t half read and hear some nonsense. Brilliant effort today to get back into it, we could and should have won it. Fantastic start to the season overall considering the injuries, travelling and pressure the team are under amongst other things. A couple of weeks now to get one or two more in and others back from injury. Then we go and again and we will get going that’s for sure.

Not going to bother posting tonight. You have said it all perfectly.Great post .

  12. Man Utd will win that league down there this year.

  14. does anyone know whats happened to CGamboa seems to have disappeared from the first team plans, better option than AR ( he is imo not ready for this level) at right back?

  15. the glorious balance sheet on

If I recall correctly, we played st Johnstone at home the following Sunday after we had beaten Barcelona 2-1 in 2012.

It was a flat game, typical post – euro hangover and we drew 1-1.

First half today was cut from the same cloth as that game and understandable given our injuries and the travel from Kazakhstan all while st Johnstone had a full week of rest going into this game.

St Johnstone are also a shower of bruisers the core of which has played together for years. Mannus, Maclean, Anderson, Witherspoon , Davidson, they’ve been there for donkeys years and are well versed in wrightennaccio, a curious brand of football that involves a minimum of 60 seconds for your goalkeeper to take a goal kick, corner kicks transformed into WWE wrestling with Paton, Anderson et al grabbing any hooped jersey within snatching distance.

How Collum could go with 3 minutes injury time given 6 subs made and the keeper warned for time wasting ill never know.

But put the mitigating circumstances aside, this wasn’t the first game this season that has highlighted the huge burden on Scott Sinclair’s shoulders to create chances for this team.

That load needs to be shared. We need Patrick Roberts badly. And if it is only a loan he comes in on, we need to use the January window to get a long term replacement in. With the tougher CL qualification process next season we won’t get away with scrabbling about up to deadline day.

  16. as i have mentioned before,we must have the worst updates re injured players , we were told MD was out until September but we were not if that was the 1st or 30th , we are not informed he will miss the first CL game, are we now talking October before we see him back in the first team or are we only talking about returning to training.

Surely regular updates on our many injured staff is not a lot to ask.

  17. JNP

Girvan 0-0 at Kilbirnie , we had 2 players sent off and Kilbirnie 1red carded , but by all accounts wasn’t a dirty game ! Hope things pick up for Cumbernauld ! How you doing ? HH !

I would say in the last 10yrs our recruitment has been exceptional :-)

But hope we get at least two in before Friday :-)

I dont think you could argue with that. That is the way i see it as well. Every time it seems we are progressing, the PLC mess about at the transfer window.

  21. Hey, it happens, eh!! We dropped two points. One of these days, given the chance, the refs honest mistakes will do us. Until now it hasn’t really mattered, but a goal down to a well organised St Johnstone, it was the green light for the mason in the black. And boy, did he take advantage.

Don’t forget, the team would be a wee bit weary after there recent sojourn, so fairs fair, we did ok, so as Mr Winner would say, calm down dear.

More to the point , have we signed anyone yet, get a move on Celtic.

    KINGLuBO

  22. Enjoyed that today, good to have a team that knows what it’s doing in opposition, made a game of it.I’d have paid about £38+ to watch that.

Thought Peter Lawwell was amazing, glad we signed him rather than Paddy Roberts.

Money rules and we’re richer than all the other teams in Scotland so everything’s good.

Well after 2 games you can still say your undefeated.

How am I doing? Do you want positive stuff that I kid myself on with or the truth?

Struggling a bit, but as I say, so many worse off than me.

Me and Paddy have just one S.T. between us now, the supporters bus convenor has it. Paddy is usually playing and I’m usually not up to it, like today. He trains Mon and Wed, so the highlight of the champions league draw for me was,all the home games being a Tues, as he will be able to attend. They is no way I could make an evening K.O.

Sorry for the ramble, I hope everything is good with you and you pick a few winners.

    Hail Hail
