    I will be relying on Cheltenham to pay for my Dublin trip.

    I have never voted in my life, for me politicians are parasites, BUT I did vote yes, mainly for young Miss GFTB, Mr Bridges hit the nail right on the head the only country who voted not to be free,

    On the 2nd of January we put in a pathetic performance at home to Partick Thistle. The atmosphere in the stadium was almost toxic. Thankfully Super Leigh returned from injury to come on as sub to save the day. In the 5 matches since we have banged in goals left, right and centre. Coincidence? I think not. The most important player at the club in my opinion and easily the best striker since Larsson.

    This latest idea to treat supporters like criminals can only add to the stench already emanating from the stinking set-up that is Scoddish football.

     

     

    If we can’t stop it, I’ll go in first.

     

     

    That should render at least one camera ineffective.

    My reservations about Leigh were from before he played for us. I did not think he had our level in him. I know better now and I have known so since Leigh’s early days at CP.

     

     

    Like you, I am often surprised by the opinion of fellow Celtic fans:-

     

     

    Aiden was a one trick pony

     

    Naka was a waste of a jersey

     

    Ki was signed to sell jerseys

     

    Scott Brown (and Stefan) was a headless chicken

     

    Fraser Forster won’t leave his goal line.

     

    Wanyama was a project etc;

     

     

    Some of the opinions on JF baffle me too but, hey ho and ho hum..

    Min, Douvan,Faugheen and Annie Power should all win. I will defer to W.I.T.S. superior knowledge if he thinks otherwise. All will be short priced favs but a nice accy to pay for Dublin.

    My feelings on LG were well known on here at the time when he signed. I’d been a huge admirer of his abilities since I saw him with Dundee but the racist tweet was, by its very nature, the very antithesis of our ethos.

     

     

    I’ve met him, at a function last year in Newcastle. Racist? No, but his conduct was so different from that of Billy McNeill and Willie McStay that you’d imagine that they live on different planets.

     

     

    Since his arrival he’s been a shining light on the park. His scoring ratio is phenomenal and here’s hoping his off field antics have been curtailed. I know one of his ex partners and speak to her at most away games. I do think she’d do him a favour by haudin her water a bit more.

     

     

    My main point though is that I do remember you being a bit of a calming head and actually appreciating what I was trying to say in light of very forceful opposition (which was mostly respectful but understandably quite entrenched).

     

     

    At the time, someone pointed out to me that maybe Celtic was exactly the right club for him to go to.

     

     

    That did make me think and I acknowledged it then.

     

     

    In hindsight, I think they were right.

    I can’t get to the CQN corner. My seat is in the North Stand and, by the time I get to Parkhead from Largs, meet my mate, there is little time to get round to the other side of the Ground. Must try and do so some time. Mind you, if I met Charlie, I would be too starstruck to say anything……………….

    You might know more than me, I would prefer a guy not scoring goals than any “racists” wearing my hoops, I think wee Leigh is a fantastic player and well worthy to dorm our hoops as fr s I am concerned the wee man has the makings to be a legend !

    We all wish our football heroes were solid citizens with good values but, in that rarified atmosphere where they are worshiped for their ability to control a sphere, they can disappoint us. I thought Macca was a football god in 1988 but I doubt I would want to spend much time in his company, likewise Charlie Nic. It is a great bonus when great players are great humans too.

    With nostalgic glasses on, I cannot place a time where Jinky or Davie Provan or Joe Miller ever misplaced a pass. But it takes an active suppression of my real memory to go into such nostalgic mode.

     

     

    Bottom line for me is that JF can perform on his day at a higher level than most of what we have. And he is more often on his day when he has had a period of regular play free from injury. I would only give my approval to JF”s transfer if we received an offer that could not be turned down or our fitness staff felt that he would never be the same again.

    That mullins/ walsh accumulator on the first day of Cheltenham looks tempting, but last year they had something similar and the bookies stood to lose millions.

     

    The first 3 won and the 4th Annie power was clear of the field when she fell at the last with arguably the best jockey of his generation making a schoolboy error. ..strange that or maybe not

    Wee james is one of the guys who can get the bums outa the seats when he is on the ball……who was ever more unpredictable that Didier Agathe…….but when the team was read out on the EuRo nights his name always got one of the loudest cheers……Bellamy likewise……..I see all this Pish has started up again with the filming of the GB…….maybe a few wee letters to the scoddish gov. is needed after all the Sfpl is subsidised by the government using tax payers money.

    Davy Provan could ‘float’ a ball and weight a pass that wee James could only dream of. Joe Miller not in Forrest’s class.

     

     

    We’ve waited a long time for a ‘fully fit’ JF yet he still starts all the recent games on the bench?
