Hello, many thanks for this. Too rich , in both meanings ,for my taste? I did take advice on a couple of your Barcelona suggestions last year and did enjoy
Keep the coming, off to Rome in June and I have at least one place where I would recommend, any from your side? Looking at around €50 per head on the set menu.
Cheers

Charlie is the most humble of all the Lions.

GFTB – Probably one of the best places on this planet. You are a lucky mhan.
DD – See these 1916 calendars G – they are the best ever. Liam Mellows, James Connolly, Margaret Skinnider and all on them.
Initially only bought the one, then another – the Dub selling them in the pub was calling people all over the city, eventually managed to get five of them.
Roy C – another credit to the green & white, and a proper Celtic gentleman -thanks a million for the Centenary tribute. It’s much appreciated, ye know that sure.
My bhoy was visiting today. Told me Corals were offering Faugheen at 8/1 to win today for a maximum £5 for new on line customers. He registered my details for me. I reckon that is the easiest forty quid I will ever win.
Faugheen the machine indeed. Gerryfaethebrig fingers crossed for Cue Card for you, a cracking fun bet.
What is the stars. Great tipping today, sadly as I had visitors, I am only catching up on the blog just now but well done. I hope you keep the run going to Cheltenham and beyond.

Steven Fletcher – please no.
Patrick Rodgers – absolutely yes, an exciting and highly rated young player and an opportunity to reinforce a working relationship with a major player and one of the most progressive clubs in world football.
O’Halloran – couldn’t make the game yesterday but just watched the highlights just there, looks like he was a pest but there are question marks over his finishing ability. Not sure if he’s good enough but have a feeling we might sign him this week.
Leigh has been great for Celtic. Much better than I thought he was going to be. I was not one of his defenders on here, sadly. That honour falls to Livi Bhoy and others.
Leigh is fast enough but does not have JF’s short burst of speed. I back Leigh when he is 1 on 1 or even 1 against 2. I back JF when he is 1 against 3 or 4.

James Forrest. Don’t really care either way whether he signs new deal or not. The question I would ask is what has he done that would justify a new improved deal?
Patrick Roberts on loan, if true. Why? Plays in a position where we already have too many players. Developing players for others whilst ignoring our own youth. Didn’t RD say Aiden Nesbitt was one of the best young talents in Europe, so,why bring in someone of the same age who plays in the same position. RD also said he didn’t want anymore loans unless there was an option to buy.

I’ve said for a long time that the nature of modern football is that our young supporters aren’t given the same opportunity to give hero status because our stars are here for such a short time. Kieran, hopefully, will give the Celtic weans something to hang their coats on.

If anyone is in London there is an exhibition at the Photographers Gallery (just off Oxford Street) about the Easter Rising, which charts the history of how the Irish benefitted from their Imperial masters.
There are photos of two of The Irish National Invincibles who dispatched their betters, Lord Cavendish and Thomas Henry Burke, one afternoon in Phoenix Park.
One of the Invincibles pictured was a Michael Fagan, and I stood there wondering … surely it couldn’t have been one of his descendants who managed a little bed time chat with ER, and whose name reverberated around Celtic Park on many an occasion? Too much to hope for?

Gold Cup this year is a cracker, pity Coneygree can’t defend his crown. Last year I bet the second Djakadam. Ante post favourite this year, however when Don Poli won at the festival last year, I marked it down as a potential winner this year. As you say jumps beautifully but has been cruelly nicknamed Don Slowly this year. It will be interesting who Brian Cooper decides to ride between Don Polo, Don Cossack and the forgotten horse Road to Riches. I will wait until the day of the race as the going will have a huge impact on the race. Min in the first race of the festival will be my banker this year. My mate is on it at 14/1 but incredibly didn’t do it single.

Charlie Gallacher’s last minute corner against Vojvodina will live forever in Celtic folklore.
A cold misty night saw Big Billy rise above the fog and the Vojvodina defence to head home strongly from Charlie’s educated left foot corner.
Stunned silence and then pandemonium.
We were still celebrating well after the final whistle when the DJ dampened us down by playing Cliff Richard’s Congratulations..

We have too few players who can dismantle a defence by just going past them at speed like James Forrest does.
I have backed Stan Petrov, Aiden McGeady, Scott Brown, and Fraser Forster against the “just punt him and I’ll drive the taxi” crowd.
James Forrest is the next one I would go to the wall to defend.
I would offer the contract and increase the terms.
I would add only one KPI:-
That he keep it in his pants
