The “Buzzwords” remain the same, as ever.

I personally think it mixes a deep resentment of Irish people and God himself from Deep Masons and all the Secret Societies that share the same Isismology and Inverted symbols of Peace.

Scot Brown was fantastic today and hopefully he’s fully mended for the upcoming SC final and the ECL qualifiers beyond. He merited his MOTM accolade today and from my seat I thought we were diminished after his substitution, albeit we put in a full 90 minute performance.

The fight he brings to the team is unsurpassed, I reckon even big Vic is a sissy by comparison.

What a player to have not only for showing grit but his skill was on full show on more than one occasion.

Lead on Captain broony, we have many more glory’s to receive under the regime of Lennon & Brown..

  18. Congratulations Neil Lennon, SFWA Manager of the Year:)

The award was given in recognition of his feats in steering Celtic to a possible league and cup double as well as for the team’s achievement in reaching the last 16 of the Champions League, having beaten Barcelona en route.

Lennon joined his squad and backroom staff on the Parkhead pitch on Saturday as the SPL trophy was presented, following the 4-0 home victory over St Johnstone.

Having been passed over by the PFA Scotland voters – Allan Johnston, manager of the second division champions, Queen of the South, was their choice – Lennon said that the writers’ award was particularly sweet second time around, having received the accolade last year.

“It means more this year. I’m very grateful. It means a hell of a lot to me personally,” said Lennon.

“The first one is always good but to do it again means you are carrying on the good work and continuing the progression and catching the eyes of many people. It’s testament to the season we’ve had.

“Some other managers have produced some excellent work too, such as Stuart McCall, Allan Johnston, Terry Butcher, Jackie McNamara and Derek Adams. Every manager is under pressure under their own terms. To get it ahead of those guys. I’m very, very proud.

“To qualify for Europe was special. To ride the pressure of all of that. It was a real confidence booster for myself. Tactically we came up against top coaches and managers and to get 10 points in our Champions League group was great. Domestically we all know it’s not been as consistent as we would have liked. I’ve tinkered with it here and there and I have learned from that.

“What we do need is an injection into the squad. Some players will be leaving. We haven’t really spent much money. I’m not saying I’m going to have a war chest but we would like to make significant inroads into improving the squad for the summer.

“We’ve done well with Bosman signings – Lustig, Matthews, Ledley, Mulgrew and Wilson. They all made us better.

“We’d had an extensive look at players this week and we’re waiting to hear back from agents to see if we can push the button on one or two.

“What I’ve been after for a while is a physical centre-forward, someone to head the ball, but they’re a dying breed. That type of player would make us better.

“We’ve not been successful in the past trying to get that type in but we’ll keep looking.”

Saturday’s victory was supplemented by good news for Scotland and Celtic ahead of their Scottish Cup final meeting with Hibernian at Hampden Park on May 26.

Scott Brown returned to the side after a lengthy lay-off during which he had an operation for a hip problem and, should he come through the next two weeks unscathed, he will be available for the Scots’ World Cup qualifier against Croatia in Zagreb on June 7.

    it gets better,

before the game, Adam didnt want to buy anything with his 10 pounds,

he said, i might buy something on way out cos it will be cheaper !

i did persuade him to but a £2 medal on a ribbon from a guy outside.

on way in we saw his school pat Niall, which delighted both bhoys.

on way out he said i want a scraf and a flag, and a badge and and and.

    he got a scarf.

cant wait to get home he says “me and niall, and liam, and daniel are going to rub it in the faces of robbie and kyle, and cameron and arran (you couldnt make these names up !)

ok , go fot it, but leave your new scarf in the hoose.

stivs, have rangers ever won that cup,

well no adam, if any of them ask, say no, they are a new team.

  23. Scott Brown would make most teams in World Football, that is why FIFA recognised him a wee while ago.

Every CL team would love a Scottie Brown, he is the very best at what he does.

Anyone sit near the GB and witness the stewards getting pelted with the scrunched up paper ? Childish I know, but really funny. Especially when one of them took the nip at half time and started shouting, only to face a deluge from all angles.

  25. Scott in time will become a really tenacious Neil Lennon.

    What a mouth watering prospect.

WGS was quite happy for hime to play as many roles as possible so he could become the Amazing player he is about to become, God Willing.

i was right in that corner, spied some empty seats from away over in 121 and went round so adam could expereince the green brigade.

it was very funny, each steward doing the monkey gaurd patrol from the wizard of oz getting pelted with the scrunched up papers.

when the green brigader came down with craig whyte, i took the chance to make some pictures and a vidjoe with oor hero.

my wee cameo and dance was met with some applause, some laughs, then ten rapid scruched up papers launched at my coupon.

craig whytes appearance with the green brigade was just about the funniest thing ive ever seen.
