    We’re out their about 5-6 times a year terrorising the residents with an attempt at music, and getting paid to do so :)))

     

     

    Was there for New Year actually. If only I’d know then what I know now……I’d be a rotting corpse drifting south with the Gulf Stream on Crazy Diamond, with David Gilmour repeating over the stereo when they found me…and yer boat…:))

    Listen mo chara,i can drink with the best of them,but i am being honest here – i nearly fell down fs.Was runnin’ about that wee town like a pasty supper.

     

    Luckily for me,lowlifes never seem to bother other clowns that they think are insane for some reason.

    Kano liked to box in his day and just like Ricky Burns, when he is taking a pounding, the last thing on his mind is chucking in the towel. After a week in hospital, when Kano has been battling to get out of a trough that none of us ever want to go down to, I hope yesterdays game brought a wee bit of joy as he fights his very own fifteen rounder.

     

     

    TTTT you are a kind heart for keeping up your contact with the family.

     

     

    It was class when Gordon Strachan pulled the kids out of the crowd and brought them onto the park; it was again – CLASS – when Neil Lennon gave away his medal.

    One thing about that Glesga place – be civil to the local folk,be respectful & agree with everything they say – and you should be ok.

     

    Do not disrespect anyone on their own turf,regardless of where you are.

     

    Country folk , in particular,do not take kindly to eejits from out of town trying to belittle them,as i have found out to my cost.

    It’s funny talking about it now. One of the fellas I was there with tonight, a good friend,him and his Dad had a boat. They put it on the tailer to take it to AL, and the rear wheels collapsed. They sorted the trailer out….and the engine in the boat failed in the middle of the loch. Since then, both trailer and boat have been traded in for a caravan :))

     

     

    So aye, next time we’re there, I’ll let you know – we will need all the help we can get:)) End of June I believe…(wedding).

    That’s relevant to the coo story from two nights ago. Me and my brother disrespected the sheep on the way to the pub, and for our signs, were chased from the field by the cows on our way back. “Disrespect the sheep?” I hear you ask…He called one of them a hun.

    He is as good as he can be, but every single day of his life is a battle just to find a source of interest or joy.

     

     

    Ramie was saying that come November he’ll be into his fifth year, now that is what you call a fight and that is what you call a fighter. A man alone with his demons in the dark fighting the fight of his life and after each round the only prize he gets is the one he gives himself, a prize that means so much those who care- the prize – a smile.

     

     

    Scott Brown looked like a new signing. Scott Brown once sent Kano his training top. Might not mean too much to too many, but that – training top – meant so much to Kano. He wasn’t really fighting totally alone in a social desert after all. I heard he smiled the day he got it.

    It’s good to hear from yourself and Kitalba how the fella is doing. Wish I could have had the pleasure of his company here when he was posting ! Certainly could do with more of a different Australian voice from ST, Macjay, Summa and GCT…….:))) Kitalba keeps the end up though where those bollocks don’t :)) [of course, am joking !]

    Wow !! Whit a question!! Am going to go with Luke. Paddy’s a sweet sweet voice and a joy to listen to. But Luke had the passion to make a song his own, be it angry, political, or emotional.

     

     

    His non-political songs tend to get over-looked, which is another tragic example of the negatives of British Imperialism.

    Kano was not the most popular poster with everybody on here, but one thing above all else that you were guaranteed with Kano was honesty married with a love for his club.

     

    Sometimes his thoughts did not meet with universal approval, but nobody could ever mistake his sincerity.

     

     

     

    I think Kitalba has done a runner and won’t be back, actually I know it, (I think he was mega-pissed off at the treatment of Setting Free The Bears) and besides, it was never him that kept the candle lit for Kano, it was Kano’s best mate Ramie talking to you through him.

    Weegieland is a good city. Growin up there, I remember walkin hom from the pub aged 15 ,saying I’d never leave the place. And wish I hadn’t.

    AGCR – Sometimes Glasgow is fun,other times it isn’t.Same as everywhere,ya know.

    It doesn’t really matter where in the world ye are.

     

     

    FFM – Paddy Reilly always said that Luke Kelly was his idol.Different songs for different singers i think.

     

    Luke had Scottish roots,as did James Connelly…obviously.

     

    No way will they be recognised by the Scottish establishment,so we just claim them for ourselves,and celebrate their talent.

     

    Same as we appreciate wee McGeady and James McCarthy.

     

    No complaints.
