Well I think that draw is a huge anti-climax.
Fed up looking at Barcelona if I am honest.
Celtic have never won an opening fixture in a group – this is likely to be Barcelona so we’ll be up against it from the off.
There is no way Barcelona and Man City will fail to get out of this group so that leaves us to beat a team who thrashed Young Boys 9-2 on aggregate.
Cannot see any joy for us in a footballing sense.
Yeah some nice trips and good atmosphere’s but if we get third it’s a minor miracle.
Given the draw there won’t be any Man City loans coming our way now so where do we go now?
Being in it is better than not being but it still sucks.
We have to endure all the guff about the greatest league in the world, battle of Britain where we stand no chance given their financial advantage while Leicester get an easy ride of a group on a lower coefficient than anyone in pot 4.
Much as I like European football I hate the format.
Not happy at all and unless Celtic get serious reinforcements this could be embarassing.
Anything can happen in football but without at least 4 new players I am very worried.
Alex OHenley is tweeting Peter Lawwell is saying they are trying to get one more player in.
Jeezo, 19 days to go and I’ve got butterflies in my stomach already. Our old friends Barca, Man Citeh with Aguero, Silva, Yaya and a really good German team in Munchengladbach. It’ll be monumental.

What a draw this group is also for potential signings.
Why wouldn’t you want to experience European nights in Paradise versus these teams?

Good point. They wouldn’t have to pay me much to have the chance to be on the same pitch as Messi. And I think a lot of pros are now going to be looking at Celtic a bit differently. Getting guys to come to the SPL must be a bit of a hard sell, but I am now a bit more confident that maybe a decent player or two may be brought in before the deadline.
So we’ve achieved our objective of reaching the promised land. Whatever happens now we are there, and will have the £££ to show for it.
Now we have to focus on our new primary objective for the coming season… getting ourselves into next season’s CL qualifiers! And that challenge starts in earnest this weekend. Let’s hope BR can get the players’ heads back into the right place in time!
Couldn’t be any harder, but am delighted with the draw.
If we invest wisely and I mean invest, we can do the same again next season and the season after etc, etc with the hope of a favourable draw

Will Celtic be inclined to take the risk? – sooner or later there is going to be a much harsher punishment – to think otherwise is ostrich-like; these GB/TRUSS people like to be centre of attention.
If you meen tickets, my mate will get them sorted on Saturday.

A logical assessment but logic doesn’t always prevail. Rember Souness and his “Men against Boys” jibe. That didn’t work out too well for him. Who expected us to beat Barca? I know from previous posts that you are not defeatest and the players will be in for very difficult games but better to be competing against the best than hiding at Auchenharvie. IMHO. HH

Memo for Mr Brendan Rodgers:
Play Craig Gordon in the SPL…………that should be enough punishment for him………….. and play De Vries anywhere south of Berwick or north of Durness.
