CONFIRMED: BROWN PLAYS

3

SKIPPER Scott Brown will lead Celtic in their historic quadruple treble bid against Hearts at Hampden this afternoon.

There had been debates about the 35-year-old midfielder taking a place on the substitutes’ bench after missing the previous two games, both wins against Lille and Kilmarnock.

However, Neil Lennon has given the nod to Brown to attempt to win his 22nd honour in his glorious 13-year career as the holders face the Edinburgh side in the delayed Scottish Cup Final.

The Parkhead gaffer has made two changes to the team that beat Killie a week ago with Ryan Christie taking over from Jeremie Frimpong on the right flank.

The Dutch flyer drops to the bench alongside Ismaila Soro.

Rookie keeper Conor Hazard is also in from the start for only his third first-team game as the Parkhead side attempt to become the first club to win the national competition four years in a row.

TEAM: Hazard; Ajer, Duffy, Jullien; Christie, Brown, Turnbull, McGregor, Taylor; Elyounoussi; Edouard. Subs: Barkas, Bitton, Griffiths, Klimala, Soro, Rogic, Johnston, Frimpong and Laxalt.
