The World Cup-bound US international defender takes over the captain’s armband from keeper Joe Hart for the meeting with the Tayside club who were thrashed 9-0 when the teams met at Tannadice in August.
Carter-Vickers is one of SEVEN changes made by boss Ange Postecoglou from the match in the Spanish capital.
