CELTIC will take on Michael Beale’s Ibrox side in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden on Sunday April 30 with a 1.30pm kick-off.

The date has now been confirmed for the intriguing Glasgow derby which will be broadcast live on the Viaplay Sports satellite channel.

The teams last locked horns in the League Cup Final at the national stadium 18 days ago when a double salvo from Kyogo Furuhashi gave Ange Postecoglou’s men the silverware for a second successive season.

Alfredo Morelos hit the Govan club’s consolation strike as the Hoops won 2-1.

THE SIGNS ARE GOOD…Kyogo Furuhashi and Greg Taylor celebrate the first of the Japanese striker’s double in the 2-1 League Cup Final success at Hampden last month.

Celtic also triumphed in the opening Premiership meeting between the clubs at Parkhead in September when goals from Liel Abada (2), Filipe Jota and David Turnbull gave them a 4-0 scoreline.

The return game at Ibrox on January 2 ended in a 2-2 stalemate with Daizen Maeda and Kyogo on target for the visitors.

The teams are also due to meet in the east end of Glasgow on April 8 and there will be another meeting after the split at a date still be arranged.

In the other last-four encounter, League One Falkirk will face Championship Inverness Caley Thistle on the Saturday at the same venue with a 12.15pm start.
