CONFIRMED: ELHAMED, BITTON IN; FRIMPONG, AJER OUT

1

NEIL LENNON has left Jeremie Frimpong and Kristoffer Ajer on the bench for tonight’s crucial Champions League knock-out first round clash with KR Reykjavik at Parkhead.

In come Hatem Abd Elhamed and Nir Bitton for a game that will be played to a conclusion before next week’s second round with the winners facing Djurgarden, of Sweden, or Hungary’s Ferencvaros.

The Hoops chief made just the two changes from the line-up that started the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock at Rugby Park in their last outing before their matches against St Mirren and Aberdeen were called off following the Boli Bolingoli incident.

The last time the sides met was in 2014 and, after a 1-0 win for Ronny Deila’s men in Iceland with Callum McGregor proving to be the matchwinner on his debut, the Hoops followed that up with a 4-0 victory in the second leg at Murrayfield.

TEAM: Barkas; Elhamed, Jullien, Taylor; Brown, Bitton, McGregor; Forrest, Christie, Elyounoussi; Edouard. Sub: Bain, Ajeti, Klimala, Rogic, Ntcham, Frimpong, Ajer.
