CONFIRMED: FORREST MAKES HIS COMEBACK, WEAH ON BENCH

0

JAMES FORREST is back for Celtic’s Scottish Cup encounter against St Johnstone at Parkhead this afternoon.

The Scotland international winger netted the opening goal in the 78th minute against the Perth side at McDiarmid a week ago before hirpling off  moments later.

Forrest missed the 2-0 win over Hibs in midweek, but Brendan Rodgers has restored him for the third meeting in 12 days against Tommy Wright’s outfit.

Timothy Weah, who claimed the killer second goal last week, starts on the bench while Jonny Hayes replaces the injured Emilio Izaguirre at left-back.

If the Hoops continue their 100 per cent domestic win record in Rodgers’ 24th outing they will be in Monday night’s quarter-final draw.

TEAM: Bain; Toljan, Boyata, Simunovic, Hayes; Brown, McGregor; Forrest, Christie, Sinclair; Burke. Subs: Gordon, Lustig, Ajer, Bitton, Ntcham, Weah, Edouard.
