CONFIRMED: SAME AGAIN CELTS

1

ANGE POSTECOGLOU will unleash the same side for the third successive game against St Johnstone in the Premier Sports League Cup semi-final at Hampden this evening.

The Celtic manager has given the nod to an unchanged line-up that netted four goals – with doubles for Kyogo Furuhashi and Filipe Jota – against Dundee at Dens Park before the international break.

The same eleven were good enough to beat Ferencvaros 3-2 in Budapest in the Europa League Group G encounter three days before the trip to Tayside.

James Forrest will again start on the substitutes’ bench with Liel Abada taking his place in the wide right position against the trophy holders.

It will be a competitive debut at the national stadium for Postecoglou who was in the ground to watch skipper Callum McGregor score Scotland’s consolation goal in the 3-1 Euro loss in June with Jospip Jranovic starring for the visitors.

The Hoops have reached the last four of the competition after dismissing Hearts (3-2) and Raith Rovers (3-0) in the earlier stages.

TEAM: Hart; Ralston, Carter-Vickers, Welsh, Juranovic; Bitton, McGregor, Turnbull; Abada, Kyogo, Jota. Subs: Bain, Scales, Ajeti, Soro, McCarthy, Johnston, Urhoghide, Forrest and Montgomery.
