BRENDAN RODGERS has given a vote of confidence to Stephen Welsh who takes over from hamstring victim Cameron Carter-Vickers against Rangers at Parkhead today.

The former Scotland Under-21 skipper replaced USA World Cup centre-back in the 3-0 win over Dundee at Dens Park on Boxing Day and goes straight into the line-up for the crunch derby encounter.

Long-time crocked double-act Reo Hatate and Liel Abada are named among the stand-by squad and there is also a place for £4.3million summer recruit Maik Nawrocki on the bench.

TEAM: Hart; A Johnston, Welsh, Scales, Taylor; Bernardo, McGregor, O’Riley; Maeda, Kyogo, Palma. Subs: Bain, Abada, Yang, Turnbull, Nawrocki, Oh, Hatate, Ralston and M Johnston.

Earlier today, we asked how much you could remember about recent encounters against our city foes in CQN’s fun five-minute quiz.

Now we repeat those questions and provide the answers.
