Since July I’ve written about the over-dependence we have on Kris Commons as a creative player. He’s pretty much our only option, and if he’s not fancied, injured, suspended or just off-form, we look like a team full of energy but without a key to open the door.
It may be that Ronny doesn’t figure on having a classic No. 10 in his team, and it’s more than possible that we won’t play one against European heavyweights, but against packed SPFL defences, we need someone who can create space in dangerous areas.
As we mentioned last month, some years ago Celtic reportedly looked at Bosnian international, Semir Stilic, while he was at Lech Poznan. His star faded before a journey through Ukrainian and Turkish football before he returned to Poland with Wisla Krakow 12 months ago on an 18 month contract. Since then he’s been a sensation and has kept Wisla in touch with the top of the table.
He’s refused a new contract offer from Wisla and is subject to a bid from Dinamo Zagreb, thought to be in the region of €250k. He’s likely to be on circa €2k per week. We’ve scouted the player, he’s soon out of contract, going cheap, on low wages, on form and we’re short of what he can give.
This is the kind of player Dinamo Zagreb pick up for buttons and enables them to compete as effectively as they did against Celtic with a fraction of our budget. He has the making of an effective January signing.

Can somone give me Paul 67’s e-mail please?
Some posters on here seems to want Johansen as a holding player.
Utter madness. He can’t tackle and lacks and strength. Hasn’t kicked a ball playing in that position. Much more effective further forward.
Still think there needs to be three midfielders in the middle with two wide of a striker.
thegreenman …… Going to the game tomorrow ?

I had planned to….but I don’t think I will bother now.

Agree about McGinn. Never fails to impress me when playing against Celtic.
Would like another leftback and centre half. Ambrose may be backup but he’s unreliable. Matthews also needs to be binned. He can’t do the basics, so is no use.
Oops sorry

What does ‘the Sound of Silence’ have in common with the ole oldco night of shame in Barcelona in 1972?
Milan media mega excited by the news that PSG have sent Lavezzi and Cavani to the bad boy corner as punishment for their late return to Paris after the holidays. The speculative conclusion is that PSG will deal with Lavezzi by loaning him to Inter.

It’s a bit bitter and raw in Shangri La today; however today marks the perihelion, when the Earth’s orbit takes it closest to the ole Sun.

I know you were trying to have a dig, however you raise an interesting point.
How many supporters at the moment are fed up for a variety of reasons, its not just me in case you hadn’t noticed.
Whatever the reasons for not going to the game, supporters have a right to complain at the behaviour of the board, hence the empty spaces at CP.
I make a serious point, im not having a go.

“It’s f…..g heartbreaking that they seem to be coming out of LIQUIDATION,let’s remember, more unified than us.”
Bobby,
That sounds an awful lot like the same club mantra that Donkey Doncaster spouts :o)
They were liquidated, which is terminal; they are finito, an ex football club, no more, expired, left their mortal coil, kaput, gone, never to return, extinguished, expurgated, extirpated, in fact – deid.
The fans think it’s the same because they are deluded sad acts.
The cowboys that bought the “fire sale” detritus try to sell it as the same club to make their money before they rode out of town,
The Creditors have been told it is not the same club and can whistle for their money.
The SFA/SPFL want it to be the same club for emotional reasons and for fear of the backlash of they don’t make them a special case.
Truth is they have never gone away – the great unwashed who still think SDM was a hero.
They may appear more united, but this apparent lack of dissension is precisely what led to the demise of the previous incarnation. If their loyalty blinds them then they are destined to repeat the mistakes they made in the past.
Happy New Year friend

So many remind us that the cheating has always with been with us, and that’s just the way it is. Apathetic silence will guarantee that we’ll never, ever, play on a level playing field. Back to the future and back to the back of the bus.
Soldiers are we….
The power of silence, it does not break down barriers, it never levels a playing field either.
But Kris Commons?
Jonny the Tim- I’m very rarely wrong.
No sensible person would just pluck the date of the perihelion out of the ether.
Kepler’s laws of planetary motion do not shrink to fit inferior orbits.
I’m trying to think of the last centre back we had that came through from our setup and I’m struggling. Anyone help? I think it was McManus.
U hve to love the bookies.. bet365 have taken around 100 dollers from me this week and when I finally take some back they want proof of age before releasing the funds.
dontbrattbakkinanger-don’t quite know what you meant but made me laugh.

Pal.. as you said in yer submission..
Concerning, Celtic’s Calamitous Performance..in the Mercedes Benz
Tournament..
Let Me Point out this, extremely ,Salient Fact..
and… when Ah dae dae.. that..
Mebbe, ye wull Agree that ..
As the Chorus Girl Said tae the Bishop..
“There Wur Mitigatin’ Circumstances… yer Grace.”

Did, Have a Fair Excuse.. when ye Realize.. this..
This Particular Tournament.. the Mercedes Benz, wan..

Hmmmmmm…
Therefore, The Young Celts , owing tae Their Unfamiliarity of This way of Playin ,the Beautiful Game….Which….tae Me..
it is A very
Bizarre Format..indeed..
although,let me hastily add..
Perhaps not tae You..
But.. Ah reckon.. The Young Celtic Lads..
Did Experience the Feeling
that Their Inexperience in This Kind of Format..
Had
Left Them.. Quite Adrift..
As if
They were in a Life-Boat.. Having discovered that They
had neglected tae Bring Any Oars..with them..
When they cast off frum the Sinking ship.
Grim Picture?

But pound notes have a voice that every business listens to.
Campbell Ogilvie’s bosses understand what pound notes mean.
Your pound notes.
Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Don’t disturb the silence, just get your hard earned out off your pockets and pay for the corruption.
Your hard earned corruption.
You’ve mortgaged your emotional life paying for the corruption and you just can’t break your addiction.

I suggested before we signed Boeriggter that he was a sick note …I was castigated by some
This tin man was never suited to the Scottish game
——————-
I remember at the time and thinking you were being unnecessarily harsh on a new signing. so
Ichecked wth Ajax fan and he confirmed your view.
He said Something is seriously wrong with the recruitment policy at CP because this was common knowledge
Then performance in first game v Ross Co he was looking promising -I txt thim to say something wrong with his heid due in part to large intake of oranjeboom
He txt back one word:
“Wait”
We are picking up some absolute gems, but too many who cannot cut it
Certainly looked like him.
Perihelion?
Memories of accompanying son on his mission to buy a Martin guitar from a scuzzy hairy chap in a filthy bogging West London basement.Scuzzy hairy chap was wearing a pair of filthy candy stripe pjs and a tweed dressing gown .The deal was done whilst scuzzy hairy chap watched a dvd – Deep Purple – Perihelion – bad enough to distract me from my fears of scabies and terminal salmonella.
Jamesgang,
its all about
1. maintaining the status quo
2. And bigger numbers
The fact that our silence is so steadfast and behaviour so submissive would indicate there is a lot of shit that can be thrown at us that would stick.
