Back in October 2011 I was for calling an end to the Neil Lennon experiment. During the previous season he lost the league after a late collapse, while exiting Europe in August after defeats to Braga and Utrecht. That season Sion’s insistence in not playing by the rules allowed us a backdoor ticket to the Europa League but we were 10 points behind Ally McCoist’s Rangers.
Subsequent events proved there was not enough evidence on show to judge the Neil Lennon era early in his second season. Neil pulled things together, finished a credible third in the Europa League group and never looked back.
Ronny Deila has already made mistakes in his Celtic tenure but does anyone seriously believe he has had the opportunity and resources to build a team? Of course not. He needs to sort out the many cousins of George Weah who have arrived recently from the genuine John Guidetti’s. He needs players who can pass the ball with reasonable accuracy but most of all he needs players of courage and attitude.
I would probably be singing a different tune if we still had Rangers to contend with, long-term development objectives are important but the short-term need to win the league remains absolute, but we don’t, which means short-term targets remain well within grasp.
The memory of Rangers’ many mistakes in the years before liquidation offers another lesson. They sacked Paul Le Guen six months into a badly needed overhaul project. Le Guen was appointed months before he took up the reins and had enough time to watch his new team and scout transfer targets, but even that wasn’t enough to ensure a smooth transition, as he found the Weahs living in Austria. Le Guen was decrying his as a heretic by a club incapable of change.
Despite the tiredness after Thursday and a plethora of injuries, Celtic had enough resources to swamp a tiny football club yesterday. That we didn’t, suggests Ronny has a big job on his hands. From the frustration shown by Scott Brown and Stefan Johansen at their team-mates yesterday, I suggest he builds his recovery around these two.

My new favorite is the bawbag independence clowns who still havnt sussed empowering a sect without a clear constitution is dumb as copulation, give themower then rely on politicians delivering promises ffs, it’s no funny.
If you want independence then showus your constitution, that way we won’t be voting for a big surprise.
MWD,
Where is your constitution ?
How do I know I won’t be copulated for a populist
HT
Do you honestly believe RD is capable of fixing it? He has taken a title winning team to the middle of a mediocre league. I am honestly concerned, and you have known me long enough to know that is not my normal attitude towards my beloved club. Worried is not the word. :-(
Weefra HH praying to Wee Oscar.
How big is your jobby

Strangley enough, I blame the players for not carrying out his tactics.
I played footy in days of yore, was never very good, junior level, but I understood what the manager told me, as did every other player in the team, the present bunch are NOT playing for him IMO.
Football is a simple game, formations are simple to comprehend, the players are at fault, hunt them.

Can he turn it round?
God knows but I sincerely hope he does.

Neil Lennon fitted his system around the players he had at his disposal. I’ve spoken to several people that Lenny actually shared this with.
Ronny is doing the opposite in my opinion. He has a system in mind and he’s trying to fit the players into it.
It’s clear that at the moment it’s not working.
These players won a title by 29 points last year, I’m pretty sure they’ve been left wondering why the new guy on the block has tried to change a winning formula so quickly.
The hun are afraid he can and their propaganda machine lives in fear too, are we afraid they might be right. The worst that’ll happen is if we abandon our plans on the say so of our enemies
MWD
I think we suffer from not having our better tested players available.
On form Lustig, Matthews, Mulgrew and Forrest would make a difference.
I like Effe’s endeavour but think we lack balance with him at RB but with 2 regulars out and Fisher just returning it is not a case of not learning but waiting.
I’d also have Mulgrew as a 3 man mid field with Charlie covering the pressing of Brown and Johnson.
My point on Stokes and Commons was I can understand why they were selected on Sunday but their performance is what gets a manager the sack and certainly let Chicken Little loose on CQN since.
I’d be thinking more Guidetti/Griffiths/Sepcovic as my 1st choice front men for the next few games.
HT
Sorry, don’t agree.
The players should do what the feck they are told to do, they clearly are not happy and are downing tools, hunt them, they are no feckin use to us if they don’t perform cos they are no happy with their lot.

You have made some superb posts in the past couple of days, keep it up >}

That’s how bad it’s got. Been going to CP since the mid 50s, seen some poor sides, but this lot have not a clue, no cohesion, totally disjointed and players who are hoping not to get the ball. IMHO. I honestly pray I am proved wrong. But I will be back next week and next season (ghod willing) to cheer on the Bhoys as I always have. KTF. :-))))

tet,
Naw, that’s me done with superb posts :)
Neil canamalar Lennon hunskelper extrordinaire, one way or another your going to be copulated. Might as well be for being a populist:-)
How’s things bud? Have you heard from the H Bom, he’s gone off the grid.
I’ll tell you what, I admire you. At least when you had a beef you done something about it and got off yer fat arse and did something about it.
Hail Hail to you for Res12, maybe some of the fanny’s will raise a resolution Desmond, Peter, Hun, Ronny, PLC, player and try to make a go of it.
That’s probably the worst compliment I’ve ever paid to another Celtic man, ha ha.
P.S. The magnitude of your arse was an assumption on my part.
Weefra..,
Onyersel, just thinking about all the things you supported the board on and had your say on, only to find you only care about the score is disappointing.
the exiled tim
Commons was in the right back position trying to cut out the cross which Hamilton eventually scored from.
Right back position mate.
Now that tells me (just my opinion mind) two things.
Firstly, that’s an indication, when a forward is tracking back into a full back position to block a cross, he’s definitely not ‘downing tools’.
Secondly, what the hell is he doing back there in the first place?!
The players are running about like headless chickens. They’re constantly having to cover for each other.
I believe it’s the manager’s system that’s causing this, not the players.
Anyway, sleep time here. Stay well mate.
I’m sorry……………….. the fabled best full back, called Lustig is an allegory.

Was just thinking, I might get signed for Celtic next season.
Working Middle East, if ISIS kidnap and behead me I would fit right into that midfield, no :)
Sign our spine on long term deals; £30k a week. Gordon, VVD, Broon, Guidetti.
We have a chance to build from that though it looks like the cast from ER.
A class midfielder like a Lubo.
Denayer to sign
A fit jamesie
Another winger like Anya perhaps?
We’d have a chance at euro glory
Make it happen Celtic
Allegorys get yea

Watch it you, that countenance thole a Hamilton pumping :)
Call me gerry,
correct, bhoys outside Glesga voiced option like me. It’s not Glesga csc btw

I supported the board until this debacle they have imposed on us. A project that appears to have failed, big time. I will, of course, continue to attend and support the bhoys, and hope upon hope, that we can turn this circus round to a positive result. I await with baited breath. And I know, I am not alone. I will always pay my dues as long as I can afford to and my ultimate dream, seeing us as the ” finest team in Scotland” consolidated full stop. Celtic, sort this out NOW. Ma heids nippin. :-))))

Belated birthday greetings, boohoo :)

Aye, they might take yer head off, but I doubt they would do it when you are breathin >}

Weefra..,
And that makes me sad, you agree with the boards vilification of our support, as if the team matters. Results mean nothing if the support are not allowed to be.

Just noticed that, that was a wee slur on me. I hope I am wrong, I have too much respect for you to post a slur against me. I will take it I have read it wrong.
Cot time for me. Night Night Timland. KTF all of you. :-))
Weefra HH praying to Wee Oscar.
Hamiltontim, I’ve seen Wakaso twice since he signed, both times out of position. On sunday he was completely ineffective because when he got to the eighteen yard line his only direction as a leftie is to come inside. He has no right foot, that’s obvious. Also, Ambrose trying to go beyond him saw the two of them too close with neither of them being able to create an out ball.
WTF, is RD doing with these guys? If they are left sided players or right sided players why the hell doesn’t he play them in their best positions?
I agree with your “system post” but he’s trying to hammer square pegs into round holes and that’s never going to work.
BTW, I guess the point I was trying to make is, I’ve no idea if Wakaso is any good because he’s playing in a role he shouldn’t be playing in.
Canamalar
So you voted for the non existent vow of GIRFUY constitution instead.
Look at your own jobby. Mine is too good for the likes of you.

Comment in the dolly the night, wakaso at right back :)
Canamalar, if ISIS cut your heid off there would be a huge round of applause for them from some on here.
I’ll keep my hands at my side until the outcome of res12. I have a nice orange boiler suit for you just in case. They tell me you are XXXL. Is that roomy enough for you.
Deffo sleep now.
Mrs TET has told me so, so I am ofskie so I am.

MWD,
Naw, I voted for independence, I voted YES but I found the biggest and easiest question to my fellow tims on why they didn’t vote aye was, would they have voted aye if there was a constitution they like, 100% said aye.
Now can you explain why we were not voting on a constitution ?
Why would anyone looking for independence want to leave the nuances of the constitution till after the vote ?
Really interested in this.
IMO any future independence vote should be on accepting a constitution and no on independence for us and our chum to make up the rules after the vote, as I said I wasted my vote on YES, all I can say is thank copulation there were no as many clowns as me.
canamlar, keep your friends close, and your head closer, to you neck.
