My expectation is Den Bosch will be better than an equivalent second-tier Scottish team (any of whom would give us a game on a summer evening like tonight), so they will hopefully present a suitable challenge to help stretch the legs.
Most attention will focus on Dedryck Boyata, but no matter if he looks great, or lousy, you will learn nothing of his abilities tonight. For Dedryck the objective is to get the limbs and lungs moving, just as with his new team-mates.
I hear Saidy Janko (19) was spotted walking into Ross Hall Hospital this morning. Although known as a right back, Saidy can apparently play right side of central midfield and as a winger. While he’ll be the fourth right back in the first team squad, positional definitions aren’t what they used to be. At Celtic in particular, there’s often little difference between a full back and a winger (the former can hopefully tackle, the latter, less so). They both have a responsibility to make runs into the opposition box, and to track back and defend.
Reports this morning that Dundee United have agreed a £1m fee for Nadir Ciftci with Gary Caldwell’s Wigan will be more palatable to United fans than seeing another player agree terms with direct rivals Celtic. The fee agreed is within Celtic’s grasp, should they be sufficiently motivated to move for the player. After a rising through the ranks, Wigan have endured two relegations in recent years.
They still have Premier League parachute payments coming in, which explains the seven figure bid. It remains to be seen what Dave Whelan’s 23-year-old grandson makes of the opportunity, now he’s in day-to-day control. From the little I saw, all I could take from it was the officials have thrown down their marker, potentially a couple of players could have been crocked and no even a foul.
The club should be asking for non domestic officials to be in charge of these games, if only to protect our players and let the SFA know their standards are not good enough.
Did we avoid any injuries tonight? Them Dutchies certainly had their clogs sharpened for the game.

Content delivery over the internet is geogrraphically dependent. If Celtic solution does not have a server ….an edge server to be precise ….and thecompang carrying the stream does .i.eone cliser to you….it will be quicker.

I checked the BBC Sport website earlier for update on Saidy Janko signing, it had a picture of him in entering our stadium, and a couple of others in his Man Utd strip,

Oh and 10Mb/sec is good enough for HD, I get great streams on everything except CTV, it is the only one that buffers that much, could be its the connection where all the illegal streams are taken from causing bandwidth issues, maybe.

Downed tools a bit in the second half….
The gremlins were at work tonight, I couldn’t get a stream to the live game, but could watch the first half just after half time.
By all accounts I didn’t miss much in the second 45.
Still it’s always good to see the Bhoys win, and some good performances from a couple of the fringe players. It was also heartening to see Rodgic have a decent spell.

Qatar mobile Internet is all 4G it was excellent, better than home broadband in the UK, problem is I’m in the UAE now and it’s a garbage mobile connection, so using hotel wifi which as I said is excellent, last night downloaded 13 gig in 3 hours so the connection speed is not an issue.
Interesting to see that some posters feel the need to inform that, when Celtic are a class above, that the opposition must be dire!
This is not exclusively a Scottish phenomenon but, in my experience, it is more prevalent here than in England ( or Govan ).

Unfortunately,Kojo was subjected to repeated and sustained bullying from the usual suspects.
His main problem was that he was a capitalist and admitted it.
Unlike his detractors who are capitalists,but pretend that they`re not.
He also said some things which some took to be racist,in spite of his references to Jewish friends,Mexican friends and friends from various other racial groups.
He made some silly comments. He apologised for them.
