I don’t know is that was the worst home performance I’ve seen, but it was up there. We look like a broken team. Dundee were comfortable throughout, limited Celtic to one genuine chance in the game (in the 76th minute), and caused havoc during their regular attacks on Craig Gordon’s goals. Their best chance came from a corner kick (what else), which was sent over by a player who stopped to head the ball from 5 yards.
Charlie Mulgrew is not the most gifted player, he’s not a central midfielder and he’s not game-fit yet, but despite putting in an indifferent shift last night, he never hid. The juxtaposition between him and others was stark. We need players with attitude – the captain back on form, Kris Commons fully fit and starting, and others taking their lead.
Confidence is on the floor. Mistakes, backwards passing and long balls forward were all subject to derision, but I think last night was the first time I’ve heard a Celtic substitute being booed onto the field. All because he doesn’t want to renew a contract for his position as occasionally-used squad player. The seriousness of the situation is clearly lost on those who want to boo a player taking the field instead of encouraging the guy to help us win a game. The whole experience got me thinking, how many of us actually want to win this league?
You better believe they want to win it at Pittodrie. They have focus, form, packed stands and patience. They also enjoy the ‘Leicester City effect’ – everyone not competing directly with them wants them to win. The rest of Scottish football is desperate for us to tear ourselves apart right now. We need to circle the wagons, live up to the reputation we like to think we have, and play our role in delivering this title.
You want 10-in-a-row? Bring me your complaints in May, but for now get your shoulder to the wheel. This is not our first performance crisis and it won’t be our last, as a collective, we need to be smart in dealing with these situations.
Everyone at Celtic Park (and beyond) knows this is not good enough, and there’s going to need to be big changes in the summer, but we need to get our act together and put the inquest on hold until the end of the season.

NegAnon, You make some decent points at times but please don’t describe yourself as a Celtic Supporter as you are patently not one. Perhaps a Fan but definitely not a Supporter.
I agree with Winning Captains that despite our unhappiness we have to dig deep inside and try to stay together and hopefully cheer our team on to 5 in a row.
Even if we win the League, I think Ronny should go. He may well go on to be a great Manager somewhere else but he has made too many mistakes at Celtic. He is damaged goods, he has lost the confidence of the Support. I fear he has also lost the confidence of the players.
Players know the supporters are unhappy, they read papers and blogs and they have first hand experience of working with Ronny.
Most of us here have worked under Managers in various 9 to 5 jobs. You soon suss out the real genuine smart guys from the the guys out of their depth.
Ronny led a small town team in Norway to the Norwegian Title, from that he was head hunted to be Assistant Manager at Celtic. Had original plan went ahead he might well now be ready to step up and be a good Manager.
However when Celtic couldn’t get the guys they wanted, they took a flier and gave the job to Ronny.
Of course Ronny took the job and no blame to him for that , however he wasn’t ready for it and he bombed.
The blame should not be placed on Ronny’s shoulders solely but on the guys who placed their chips on a Rookie Manager.

I haven’t read back here, so diving in at the deep end a bit. I have never felt more dejected in Celtic FC than I do today. No courage of conviction from the Board, no leadership from the management team and a lost pool of players that would appear to not have a clue what it is they are supposed to be buying into. No swagger of champions, no confidence and no conviction. I state all this because I never criticise an employee of the club because I don’t want others feeding on our pain.
DD grab the moment, you took a big punt and lost, you won’t be the first or the last to do this but you should fold now and go for a new deal.
Ronnie if you don’t get the push, be a man and stand down.
To the players I beg you to rise above this and give 100% until the league is won, we need you to rise to the occasion whilst having sympathy for your situation.
4-4-2 was good enough for our greatest Manager, Ronnie please leave tomorrow morning, we need heroes, leaders and performers.

Ronny is innovative, the Players chucked it a while ago – Really disappointed in the Senior players, selfish bar stewards.

It will be extremely interesting to see how many season tickets we sell. It’s a chore for some folk going along just now. I don’t think there are 20000 folk out there waiting on Rangers to confirm their place next season.
The club went into sleepy hollow and sold players to keep up the turnover thinking all would return to normal on the return of Rangers.
Maybe the club were right to look for Rangers to start life one division down as opposed to rock bottom. It’s been too long without the loathsome hatred for folk to miss the addiction.
