  1. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    That’ll do for me tonight.

A longer than normal wait to see the Celts but totally worth it.

Not sure I’d judge any individual’s technical ability on that disgrace of a pitch?

If you think our technique was bad, United’s was ten times worse.

Very good attitude shown by the group.

Got the job done with a bit to spare.

    Roll on Saturday at home.

    Can’t wait.

    Night all

    Hail hail

Listen to this for a ballad Sionnagh.

Then there’s ‘the rose of Clare’, ‘Spancill Hill’ and ‘come back to BallyJamesduff’.

A solid second of my all time great performers after the one and only, Christy Moore.

P.S. For me, Spancill Hill is the greatest reb song of all time.

He was also playing and scoring at Newlandsfield in mom performance bout 10 days ago.you should have a look.

    My editing was poor/pred text:-)

Good to see karamoke getting on.recent B performances merit it.was it his goal or an og?

    Hope he signs

  4. Hatate challenge was a yellow all day. That said, if someone did that to one of ours I would shout expletives at my TV.

Tackle on Juranovic was a yellow all day but in the ‘seen them given’ against us category.

Was in and out of game because of work but Maeda always seemed to be bursting somewhere and Gia bustling someone. Good to see. We’ve missed that and now have a wee bit of depth.

Also pleasant to see a training ground move work for Calmac goal. They must’ve been reading CQN and decided to start shooting from outside of the box. Keep up the good work all of you armchair generals and quarterbacks, it’ paying off. Moves like that take time when you are in a rebuild if you know what I mean. You can’t be bring everything at once, not enough time to work on things in training when always prepping for 2 games per week.

I really am excited about what we can be next year. This year is a bonus. It’s why I roll my eyes at some “we wur pure pish again” posts.

One in the bag, top of the league and in a semi of a cup they have never won while we push records.

Gonnae gies oor Kyogo back soon but.

  5. AN TEARMANN

Foirfe as my wife West Belfast gaeilgeoir wife says !

Your mammy obviously had great taste in music !

Among the souls of the gaels may we rest.

  6. Ps I can also see why he saw a handball and ruled it out. Even VAR get these wrong half the time.

Anyone have access to the stats of who VAR has gone in favour of? These sites break it down for engurland.

    https://www.90min.com/posts/6550800-the-premier-league-clubs-that-have-benefited-the-most-from-var-decisions-revealed

Who will VAR favour up here?

    Is it a coincidence?

How do we compare decisions? Merely by calls in or against us?

VAR is going to a whole new headache.

0-3 on a crap pitch with a team playing for the only honour they have left. Good result and a good draw for the final four as they say over here. I hate that final four crap. It’s the bleedin’ semis I scream as I walk my dog down the Louisville streets drawing frightened looks from behind curtains.

  7. Good morning CQN from a delighted, dry but chilly Garngad

Call me Gerry from last night – I understand what you are saying about Hatate’s challenge he said in and did make contact and gave the Ref a decision which could have ended in him seeing Red.

I feel there was very little contact compared to some tackles and I feel that the angst was down to the fact he slid in where as some tackles where players stayed on their feet and challenged do not get the same attention.

Anyway as I say Hatate should not have made the challenge and gave the Ref an option.

Hail Hail and onward to the Semi and more importantly Saturday.

    D :)

  8. That’s two goals Giakoumakis has scored recently from a drilled Maeda cross. Goalkeeper spilled both times but maybe we need to give more credit to the cross and the run. Sutton picked up on the run last night but i think Maeda puts in a mean ball (been a couple of others which Giakoumakis nearly scored too)

    _______

Just after the goal, Daizen was running down the right wing trying to put a similar ball in. A few minutes later he was back in the left back position breaking up a United move. His workrate, at a very high pace, is tremendous. Catches out opponents, who aren’t used to it. He’s making a big contribution

Maeda got into some good positions last night.Fired that dangerous ball in that keeper fumbled.A couple of times his final ball let him down aswell.Much better performance from him last night,he was everywhere and hopefully give him the confidence to maybe show a bit more composure with that final ball.

    Hai Hail Brother

But the question you have to ask is whether he would have made the same decision irrespective of the team involved.

  12. Enjoyed last night. Enjoyed it even more when I turned off the commentary, as I couldn’t listen to that weirdo Craigan’s obsession with Starfelt, saying the same thing over and over again.

Dry yer eyes ya hun, Another clean sheet helped by the big, handsome Swede…

Bring on the Hearts, the Hibs, (but first) the Rangers….
