Very poor second half albeit we scored 2 defensively from mid through defence. Sat off them way too much.
Only plus point 2 goals apart was seeing HamiltonTim getting smacked in the coupon. It took years off him too.
MWD not overly bothered at this point in the season.

Just a little bit unprofessional, McCourt gives away the ball and the roof falls in. Not good enough and disresectful to the opposition.

No Huns in SPL is affecting how we approach games. If they were in and we’d started like we have it would have been more troublesome..but They are not – so I’m less troubled

Cultsbhoy, surely this is the season if there ever was one to use our squad. With the demise of the Orcs taking the pressure off in SPL and with heavy Euro involvement, it is right to rotate the squad and try to develop a few extra players. Tony Watt is one who is definitely benefiting and today could be the start of something for miku. Its the long term good of our Club is by far the most important thing. If we lose a few points here & there whilst developing a top squad, well I for one can live with that,
We need to learn how to close out a game when we are ahead. 2 – 0 is always dangerous; one goal changes everything. With the players that we have we should be able to keep the ball and see time out.
This is a skill our young team needs to master

Barca terrified of Sammi, hahaha
Good that he is, vital that he is for us, I don’t see them being overly worried about any of our players
We played well dominated 60% of game Without our 4 top strikers playing Players worked hard to score 2 goals and then any manager is telling players dont give them any encouragement So instep the non professional McCourt who did Dont give me pish about him being fouled
We had guys who burst agut for 80 mins to win game only to be undone by a 5 a sides player selfishness and lack of awareness
Dont tell me our manager is saying one thing to press and saying something else indoors
Sevco have there world record crowds as a sideshow and we have the ridiculous sideshow of McCourt Pathetic

A draw away is perfectly acceptable in most leagues. We ‘should have’ won, but we didn’t; but neither did we lose, and Tony Watt’s demeanour in the post match interview, even though he got motm, says it all. Disappointment, but a lesson learned, no complacency and a strongly stated desire to do better, with humility in respect of his own undoubted abilities.
It’s a long way to go until next spring. I remain upbeat.
Anyone would’ve been shellshocked when the whistle went to signal the end of the match ; who wouldn’t. But when stability’s regained and the full picture is seen, then despair is just not on. In fact, it would be silly.

Good point. It is one thing for us supporters to shrug (as some did in my CSC today) and say, ‘oh well, we’ll win the league anyway…’
The troublesome thing is that our players may be thinking the same thing.
Basis, basic, 8 year old stuff cost us the goals. A throw-in that BOUNCES in our penalty area!!!! Should simply never happen.
2nd goal, we let them cross it in. That ball should have been closed down. Lazy, sloppy, unprofessional. Had we been hard-working, focused and professional, that cross would never have left the guy’s foot.
So, yes….I think our players are coasting. Sad, but true.
Exceptionally unexpected collapse in the final two minutes to throw away another two points, after the game should was won.
Paddy McCourt not up to the pace of the game, and easily dispossessed set the tone, in a final crazy two minutes of comedy cuts between Kelvin Wilson and Efe Ambrose.
Some balls from Neil Lennon in his after match comments, we are not that far ahead of any other SPL side despite massive financial advantage, very unprofessional not to have closed the game out, a mistake repeated again, and again.
This Champions League really does get in the way of the real thing.
corkcelt on
Paddy did lose the ball ok but players lose the ball all over the place but its forgotten about because nothing comes from it. Kelvin could have done better as well but I’m not blaming him either. To blame one individual for dropping the 2 points is churlish, its something that happens. A team is 2 down with 4 or 5 mins left and they get one back, they get a new energy and throw everything at it, the defenders are a bit panicky and the 2nd goes in. We have all seen it before, remember too before they got the equaliser they passed up on another great chance, who was responsible for presenting them with that chance. Most people will have forgotten including me. Why? Cos nothing came from it.

9 points separate Celtic and second bottom St. Mirren.
Sure the league will be won no bother but its going to hurt the armageddonists when they see that crowds will be up for all other teams. If we take Dundee out of the equation, every other club could be fighting for 3 European places (as it stands now).

Goals conceded were a tad unlucky don’t you think. Sure, some poor defending contributed but for
A) blocked shot to fall to utd player is unlucky. His finish was superb
B) ambrose’s to fly into the top corner is unlucky.
However, the problem for me was the fact we didn’t score with our chances esp. Rogne and Brown headers.
Great to see miku get his first goal and watt showing he is indeed a very good player and improving.
Armageddon?
It’s the best league for many years, although we have the better team and ultimately I think we will win comfortably. I’m enjoying it.
In answer to some posters on here.Yes,we don’t have the right to win every league game, but we DO have the players.
The difference between a great team and a decent team is the abillity to concentrate and focus in all competitions.
Our main focus at the moment is Barca.
