strange reaction to the victory in my head as well. Glad we won with me and the old bhoy watching on telly, it does not happen often.
However our defending was rank rotten, Daly did a number on Wilson and Ambrose reminiscent of the rag-dolling him and his like dealt out to Caldwell and McManus. Sorry to say it but in the SPL clashes we need a Bobo to sort this mess out. Lustig looked half fit and Hooper is still looking for his boots after being told he is starting.
Forrest and Stokes looked up for it and Izzy got on with his job , the rest were pretty poor.
Delighted to be in the final even without VW we should be favourites and Stokes will score.
Incidentally Craig Thomson was just as bad as our back four.
Would that be the Hooper who stayed on for the last 12mins while injured to help the team?

Guys I’m taking a break for a while. When I see some of the critical comments I can’t believe we just won a pulsating Cup Semi Final. We are one game away from the double in a season that saw us qualify for last 16 in Champions League, beating Barcelona and Spartak Moscow en route.
Yes I know there are problems and its right that we discuss them but a bit of perspective is called for. Hail Hail happyaskojocsc

Our narrow play, especially down the right, does not play to Hooper’s strengths.
Most of our crosses, with two exceptions, were either to high or overhit.
Lustig never tried for the goal line and Forrest. Was taken off the wing.
Hooper’s link up playis good, but he is deadly in the six yard box, if only the ball would land there, at the right height.
I don`t know if it`s good thing to want perfection from our team. I do know it is unrealistic.

I remember watching the great Jock Stein’s Celtic, I travelled to nearly every game home and away. Guess what they didn’t win 7-0 every week, in fact they didn’t win every game. I am grateful for today’s victory and will go back for the cup final. Getting a ticket shouldn’t be a problem if given the number of people on here who will not go to Hampden is an indication of uptake.
I wonder how many Celtic teams of the past would have lived up to the TV scrutiny of today?
And before anybody asks no I do not subscribe to underperformance but you just need to read this blog every week to see how one game can cause a variance of opinions from people who witnessed it.
Well, we’re there. Need our captain back for final. Need Hooper too. We don’t play to his strengths.

Well bhoys, delighted to get through that game.
Thought defensively we were very slack at times, particularily when we were run at, and I’m shocked Thomson passed up the chance to award a pen against us. Hooper was anonymous at times, yet showed his class with a beautiful piece of control and driven cross to Commons at the near post.
Still, getting through is the main thing, and in fairness, Utd showed they have some very decent young players.

Conclusion to Clive Lindsay`s report from the BBC`s normally pro-Hun site:
“Celtic’s greater class and experience edged the game, but the real winner was football itself after two brilliant last-four ties that blew away the doom and gloom that has been surrounding the Scottish game.”
Those who want Neil Lennon to leave, please tell the rest of us who you would like to replace him?
The mind shudders when recalling that some Celtic people wanted Mark Mcghee as our manager.
Our ordinary side is a team which overcame three CL teams which are drowning in debt. Our ordinary side contains players who are coveted by teams throughout Europe and Russia.
One needs to be critical at times but wanting NL sacked only indicates a rather simpleton attitude to football management. NL has been terrific for our club. Which other manager has endured the circumstances he has?
Just walked back along Kings Park Avenue, having see an end to a disappointing run of Hampden results.
Thought NFL got the tactics formation, and team selection spot on in the end, and Forrest’s young legs had just one more run to deliver a cross to Stokes that stretched and killed off Utd, once and for all.
Commons had a great game and seldom lasts the ninety, and whilst Lustig is a good player his fitness needs patching and having a CB in Efe having to switch wide is not ideal, but he played well, and we got away with it. I hope Adam Matthews is available for the final.
Mulgrew was great in the air especially and Beram Kayal had a tremendous impact as sub, Stokes took his goal well.
The game took some swing when Lustig hit the post at 1-0 and suddenly we were 2-1 after Thompson ignored a clear foul on a Celtic player, to allow Utd to build the equaliser.
Hooper will score in the final, and all Hampden will be covered in banners of Green.

I dont recall anyone saying they wanted NL sacked today. Some expressed some puzzlement at his substitutions, but dont remember anyone saying sack him.
Just back from Hampden and watched the goals highlights (Thanks bonfigli).
It was not a vintage performance but it was an enthralling match. I don’t think any individual was dreadful though Hooper and Ledley were below the level of the rest.
Very impressed with Izzy and Big Vic, when he was on. Lustig and Commons both showed in space for the ball and Charlie found his feet at Centre Half.
I rejoice at a hard match well won. I believe we deserved it on balance, though United did turn up today. Mackay-Steven had his first good game against us as we left Izzy on his own without adequate cover from Ledley, Mulgrew or Commons. However we were doing the same to their full backs at the other end.
It isn’t just on here that people make wilful ill-deserved judgements on players. In the 85th minute of the game, Izzy threw a decent cross into an area where we had no-one atacking and was met by a North Stand Celt saying “Izzy you couldnae cross the street, ya eejit!”. Thankfully he got a few laughs and headshakes in response but it just shows you that people often see what they expect to see.
P.S.Does Vic’s booking rule him out of the final?

I doubt there are many Celtic fans wishing the sack for Neil.
There are a few who wish him to wisen up as he has made mistakes
Criticism is frequently healthy otherwise we end up with sevco type reporting of our progress.
And it HAS been progress.

Not a joke and yes worth a go.
Efe naturally likes to beat a player and has very good close control. Makes my heart stop when he tries it our own penalty box which is thankfully becoming less often.
BOBBY MURDOCH’S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS, I agree that very few want him to be sacked. All managers make mistakes. The progress has actually been gently remarkable. I am perplexed that you seem not to be happy with the progress which has been made already.
Celtic will always be treated in a critical manner.
