Ebe Ambrose gets deadline day drama underway

390

Celtic’s first piece of incoming transfer business this evening was for Nigeria international central defender, Efe Ambrose, 23, who joins from Israeli club Ashod.  I’ve absolutely no recon on Efe but I can tell you he has been our primary defensive target for some time now.  There has been considerable research put into his capture, so there should be few surprises to Neil Lennon and his coaching staff.

Our last venture into Israel, to sign Beram Kayal, was an unqualified success.  If Efe adjusts to life at Celtic as well we will have added an excellent defender to the squad.

Welcome to Celtic, Efe.  Don’t think we’re finished yet.

Has he got Smeato’s old summer shifts then?

  2. I don’t see a lot of European football so although I’d heard of Falcao I don’t remember seeing him play.

    Really impressed with both finishes.

    You are right of course…

Thats what happens when you have shareholders who have invested.

CFC honour their commitments…unlike some ex-clubs.

Shareholders have the opportunity to re-invest or take their ‘interest’ in return for their deposit.

    Just saying!

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. Since the beginning of the transfer market, has been rumored about Getafe’s Miku output, but this did not occur at the end of the lease term.

The signing of striker Alvaro Vazquez by the club “Mallard”, created more uncertainty surrounding the signing of the Venezuelan, who after playing three seasons at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, scoring 24 goals, finally change club.

The policy led by Angel Torres, had an offer on the table, from Qatar, but the refusal of the player, forcing the proposed rule.

Thus, Fedor heads to Scotland to play in the Champions Celtic, and joins the second winningest team in the country, surpassed only by the now defunct Glasgow Rangers. Be part of the only Scottish team to have won the European Cup.

The agreement is for the sale of one year, with option to purchase.

Just shows ye all the same – that Athletico side had a wee bit too much class for Celtic in the Europa League, the went on to win the thing eventually. The only team that defeated us in the group.

ive also stuck a £10 on source of light, took the 12/1 thought it would start drifting in with the amount of folk on here tonight hammering it haha

  11. I’ll eat my hat if we get Fedor. How many goals has he scored in how many games – what are the stets on him? Is he capped by his country? Does the Battered Bunnet know him? Are we after Milner?

  12. Loudwise, Charlie Nic would be most excellent but not now presently speaking in any playing role as such………………..

  13. Bloke109 – that’s what I was thinking but if we actually did sign him…

    My hat tastes horrible!

According to Wikipedia Miku is at Leeds united. Hmm… Good goal v Madrid, decent scoring record. Could be a good one

Thats a good point m8 and I’m sure Neil will utilise that to Grow our young experienced players.

David Luiz and Edin Hazard will be superb players in the Chelsea team this season, most of the others are over rated IMO.

Cheers for the update – will try and check up on News Now (Celtic) – see it owt’s confirmed.

Murphy ever score against Real Madrid?

Don’t know, has he ever played aginst them. He’s a 1 in 4 striker though, same as Miku. Could be a great signing, hope so, but the normal transfer deadline day of feeling completely underwhelmed starting to kick in. Ogunjimi & Russell had me excited, Miku doesn’t. Also we need at least 3 and probably 4 players, 2 leaves us short for CL.
