Spanish football, like its economy in general, in mired in difficult financial times, which, apart from one or two well-funded clubs, has restricted the budgetary scope of a large number of teams. I had hoped all summer to hear we were on the case but it wasn’t until the final day of the window that solid opportunities materialised.
Marseille-born Tunisian international Lassad Nouioui is a complete unknown to all of us but his profile, earned at Deportivo La Coruna, fits the bill. He scored a handful of goals as Deportivo finished 18th and dropped out of La Liga in season 2010-11 but hit the heights last season as they secured promotion. It would be practically impossible for Celtic to sign a striker with the equivalent profile in English football, despite the apparent gap in standards between La Liga and the English Premier. I’m also delighted to hear Levante, who finished 6th in La Liga last season, were so keen to capture him.
There is also something I like about the port-town mentality the people of Marseille have. It’s very Glaswegian. Lassad should flourish here.
I’m not sure what Phil Mac Giolla Bhain’s reaction was when The Sun called asking for an interview about his new book, which details the mainstream media’s failure to report the demise of Rangers. “Are you joking?” may have been appropriate. I had no prior notice they were running an interview yesterday and couldn’t believe the promotion they gave to a book detailing the failure of their industry.
This was not without consequences, of course, and The Sun got themselves into an incredible mess, today trying their best to backpedal, which is pretty much what the theme of the book predicts (irony #1). Meanwhile there is a book publisher in Glasgow who cannot believe his luck. Thousands of unwitting critics and a leading newspaper have ensured Mac Giolla Bhain, who would struggle for a platform without the anger of others, has a bestseller on his hands (irony #2).

Proudbhoy,
Like you, I waited ages on an away top. Ordered in June (when it was available in the bricks-and-mortar store). Got the message “On back order until mid-August”. It did eventually arrive in mid-August but that’s poor service to the Celtic diaspora. And how much cut are Kitbag taking?

….it is a bit.
The calm before the storm or are all the podium seekers on the F5 button?
Anyway, I hope you are well.
Afternoon chaps.
I am looking for a bit of advice if possible please.
Me and 2 other friends have booked travel and accommodation in Barcelona but are unsure about our best options to see the game.
I don’t have a season ticket so getting tickets for the celtic section through the club will be a non starter I would imagine. What are the other options to get a ticket in the away section?
Alternatively the barca site is selling tickets in the home end now beside the away supporters, would it be better to buy tickets for there now or toinvestigate the possibility of away end tickets further?
I would really appreciate any advice as this will be our first away experience with Celtic.
Many thanks in Advance
Hh
Y’all waiting on something??
get set
go?
@alextomo HMRC say length of Rangers Tax Tribunal is “by no means unprecedented”. It is “all very quiet at the moment”. No sign of imminent end.
Sevco have launched a second and third strip with the 5 stars back on it.
Someone really needs to have a word with UEFA…

Duff&Phelps stated in their report the other week they expect tribunal result this month.
It must be one hell of a report – hundreds of pages outlining every single EBT
Remember Tommy on the phone to one of the consortium who told him the EBT decision would be released in Sept.
Phil,
I am well, youself?
Yes, we await the podium chasers boost for glory

The huns are in a shocking state with much more to come.
What other news can i give you?
I bet Paul67 has posted a new article while I’ve been typing this post.

This recent trouble in Belfast is in a brand new area and the reasons for these riots are as follows:
Saw that original video of them marching outside chapel then attacking guy videoing it. Complete scum
Saw clip from the Henry joy march yday and seems we had few undesirables on our end, sad too see as the Henry joy idea of celebrating a Protestant republican is something Iv wanted to see for years
RNU organised march so loyalists would have seen it as anti gfa march.. If only they caught be taught about Henry joy.
Faithful til the last

I would imagine sevco can put as many stars as they want on their shirts as all it will be is part of the design and will mean nothing else.
Today’s new article has missed the posting deadline but the SFA says it was just a computer glitch and the podium winner will still be acknowledged and properly registered.
TwoTunTimfromTeddington – They should come up with a special away kit that’s just all stars, like Automan or the spangly bit of the American flag. (thumbsup)
Or … Next season they can see if Milky Way Magic Stars can sponsor them
Today’s new article will be registered at 13:40 but due to a computer error will be deemed to have been posted at 11:59
Sorry forgot who it was who said they couldn’t believe hitler was a product of the same people behind communism read “Trading With the Enemy” and “Conjuring Hitler” both go into more detail than Sutton.
And ref communism as Sutton pointed out in “The Best Enemy Money Can Buy” without American aid it’s “greatest” enemy would have been stillborn. Without American Corn they would have starved, without american ball bearings their missile systems wouldn’t have been a threat to America!
And I’ll reiterate: Communism and Fascism were created by the same people, follow the money and it is 100% undeniable.
Just like it has been with our “friends” from the dark side of the toon!
I knew if I typed long enough I’d find a segue to something actually relevant to the site.
Quitting while ahead
And when no hope was left inside on that starry, starry night… (thumbsup)

Good points, well made.

I’m sure the only reason they put the stars on their shirt is because they know it winds us up. I personally couldn’t care less how many they have on there as anyone with an ounce of football knowledge knows they haven’t won more than their one piddly now defunct ECWC.
