CELTIC have suffered another injury set back ahead of the season opener against Hearts with the news that Erik Sviatchenko has been ruled out for up to six weeks and will miss the Champions League play-offs.
Speaking at today’s media conference ahead of the Ladbrokes Premiership Rodgers said: “We’ve just had his results so he will probably be up to about six weeks, which is disappointing.
“It could have been worse but we will take it at six weeks, not probably back until September.”
Sviatchenko missed the first leg against Rosenberg with a groin injury but passed a late fitness test to line up in Norway.
