The existence of the Premier League International Cup, a tournament for under-21s, which the FA Premier League launched this is a fascinating development. It’s a toe in the water for the Premier League who are running a multi-nation tournament out-with the auspices of Uefa. A consequence of excluding the European governing body is that all games must be played in the territory of England and Wales, despite Celtic and seven others of the 16 teams residing outside that region.
Uefa retain exclusive rights to hold tournaments across multiple territories, although this definition accommodates the existence of the Welsh FA and Welsh teams participation in competitions run by the English FA.
The Premier League has a broken business model which they have been unable to resolve for a decade of more, as they hae studiously avoided growth in their key TV revenue stream stalling. When it does, innovative solutions will be required.
As far as Celtic are concerned, I’m delighted we’re there. In the absence of NextGen this will be a valuable addition to the youth players’ development this season.
Foundation News:
I’m up for the Zip Slide from the top of the Jock Stein Stand to pitch level in front of the Lisbon Lions’. Never done anything as ridiculous in my life but it’s a one-off opportunity for a fee of £30 plus a commitment to raise £125 for the Foundation.
Pile in here, if you’re brave enough for the Celtic Park pitch…………
Not had more than a glance at the annual report yet. Statements dated 12 September? Hmmm.

Same rubbish on here day after day umpteen reasons why I won’t be going back to parkhead. Then a loads of posts to justify it. Scottish football is corrupt NEVER. Board don’t fight our corner NEVER. I know the Huns are dead only thing I’m interested in is the team on the park.

Your posting of 13:49 (vis-à-vis Ogilvie’s un-opposed re-election) is plausible enough. And I hope you’re right in your reading of the situation.
However, there’s 1 part of what you said that I wonder about, namely, ‘The clubs are in the process of taking the SFA ‘back’.
Do you think Ogilvie is being lined up for the FIFA V-P post?
If so, what do you think the SFA will say or do about that?
If they oppose it they’re going to look like fools; yet if they don’t they’re a bunch of hypocrites …

There are a number of things that can cause it, including anxiety, but regardless of what it is, it induces fatigue.

McCrummochy Out!

Neither the horse, owner trainer or jockey concerned today are bent, threw the race, held it up, or anything else for that matter. The horse sweated up and ran badly. That’s it. Save the conspiracy theories for the MSM, Referees and Huns.
Dallas-yep
Folly Folly
The first element is from the (sweaty) horse’s mouth.
The second part re Ogilvie/FIFA I have no idea about. Can’t comment beyond agreeing with your general observation.
tnt
Cheers, didn’t know that.
Has the horse had an issue with it previously? I recall earlier on you had said it had run below expectation over the flat. Is there a link, or is this time a one-off?
Hebcelt
I just spoke to Craig and he said to basically head down to the marina and there are loads of good places there
Just read THAT article.
SFA in a hun eat hun world.
Depraved indifference , corruption, thievery, malignant , liars doesn’t even begin to describe that rats nest.

…
The betting patterns would suggest that people in the market knew it was about to run a stinker. It’s price doubled pre race. Only thing more bent than horse racing is greyhound racing.
We’ll never know for sure though.

Please-I avoid,I do not shirk.

These things are a long war.
Where would you rather be on the inside or looking in ?

It hadn’t performed to any degree on the flat for Michael Stoute hence they decided to move it to Mrs Robeson to school over hurdles , which, has been going well, and expectations today were high based on his final piece of work under todays jockey, earlier in the week.
It just didn’t happen today.
I will know more tomorrow.
Given today’s result I wont bother going into detail about tomorrow other than to say I shall be backing his stablemate San Telm at Cheltenham tomorrow at a big price.
I have a colleague who owns racehorses.
He says don’t bet on races where the prize is less than 10 grand.
He doesn’t either.
Coolmore Mafia
I maintain todays run was straight, just poor.
On the greyhounds we are in agreement 100%. I used to have two:-))
(one which was called Hail Hail and ran at Oxford).

I was only talking about SPLOB only Wee Eric also got around £130k bonus only from memory. Need to check the latter number.

Jean Marc Bosman has had a pretty troubled life since then according to some reports so he may not know whether to blame it on the Ruling he initiated or his own efforts since.
However the consequences unfolded with the Bosman Ruling, it rectified a long running injustice of indentured labour in football which gave advantage to bosses over employees. It does not fit the formula you sought to impose on my reasoning for “refusing to condemn the board at every given opportunity” (see how easy this attribution lark is!). Incidentally, some of the “people power” that brought down the Berlin Wall were mercenaries looking to steal a valuable souvenir to sell. It was not all political.
Thanks to timbhoy2 for providing proof on the fallibility of all CQN futurologists but, then, I could have predicted that would be the outcome :-)
Twists-don’t think anything was implied mate.HH

I shall be each way as I expect 14/1 or better.
Less than 14/1 I shall be on the nose.
