Fantastic result from Celtic Park

757

It was a fantastic result from Celtic Park last night for Scotland’s poor who are dependent on food aid.  Fans arrived in droves before kick off with bags full of provisions to restock food banks across the region.

I can sympathise with the SPFL to an extent.  Without a sponsor, they are even more dependent on satisfying television, and satisfying television often involves making unpopular decisions, but the mess they’ve made of scheduling the final Championship fixtures of the season is deeply embarrassing for our game.

Our game is looking more and more like it’s being run like a Banana Republic.  Generalissimo Doncaster has a case to answer.

I’m pretty sure no one at Celtic considered Leigh Griffiths as their number one striker when he signed a year ago.  That he has become so, is as much a result of his forward competition failing to deliver as much as his own talents, but there’s no denying Leigh’s ability.  He’s turned into a vibrant, productive striker who scores all types of goals.

The ECWC Final 1966 had a low attendance chiefly because there was torrential rain all day. Can’t remember exactly but I don’t believe there was much more than 30,000 in attendance that night.

*it was also televised Tom, hauf of Glasgow was German that night.

St Barbara’s is in Muirhead out beyond Millerston and Cradowan – St Joseph’s

Cradowan was the last working deep mine in the area – had been the like of the Lumloch, Bedlay and of course Auchengeich which had the disaster in the early 1960s

Lots of mining people – lots of good Tims!

  23. Heard someone on BBC radio earlier saying the 3 year deal covering the championship play offs was £550,000. That is for THREE YEARS, not annually.

Some representative from Falkirk, expressing a personal view, stated that although media partners were excellent, the money was a disgrace. Sufficiently disgraceful to consider saying no thank you.

Methinks given the Doncaster/Hearts/Hibs play off scenario as well it may be that a whole new environment is not too far off.

It’s really quite astonishing that because the SFA decided to give The Rainjurs another wee hand up, with a fixture change, that Celtic fans think Neil Doncaster should resign for committing a new heinous crime.

This is the guy that wanted them in the SPL, then Division One, and worst of all may have fraudulently pushed through through the new phoney baloney Sevco licence in 2012.
