Fantastic result from Celtic Park

757

It was a fantastic result from Celtic Park last night for Scotland’s poor who are dependent on food aid.  Fans arrived in droves before kick off with bags full of provisions to restock food banks across the region.

I can sympathise with the SPFL to an extent.  Without a sponsor, they are even more dependent on satisfying television, and satisfying television often involves making unpopular decisions, but the mess they’ve made of scheduling the final Championship fixtures of the season is deeply embarrassing for our game.

Our game is looking more and more like it’s being run like a Banana Republic.  Generalissimo Doncaster has a case to answer.

I’m pretty sure no one at Celtic considered Leigh Griffiths as their number one striker when he signed a year ago.  That he has become so, is as much a result of his forward competition failing to deliver as much as his own talents, but there’s no denying Leigh’s ability.  He’s turned into a vibrant, productive striker who scores all types of goals.

  10. One good thing to emerge from the farce in Scottish football in the last few days is that Doncaster cannot survive.

I see a collective disquiet amongst the majority of clubs akin to the spirit of 2012 .

We were spun the Armageddon line by Doncaster and his kin and the clubs and supporters United to protect in some way sporting integrity.

Those in Scottish football administration have not learned the lesson and Doncaster and probably Blair will pay the price of having no morals with their jobs.

Unfortunately, the gerrymandering will continue and like minded people will replace them .

Scottish football unfortunately is set up for the benefit of one club and that I’m afraid to say will continue unless member clubs ( ours in particular) have the balls to clear them all out.

I will not hold my breath

Having only 18 home games instead of 20 is actually the least of Kilmarnock’s concerns.

They requested week’s ago that they specifically have a home game on Saturday April25th to coincide with the 50th anniversary of them last winning the league. Former players are traveling to Ayrshire that weekend to celebrate. The Kilmarnock chairman reckons the attendance would have increased considerably that Saturday. One game.

They received no reply and have an away fixture on the date in question.

Let me state I have no interest in,or any affection for Kilmarnock.

I do though share a beer with a couple of their fans. No hunism. Decent guys.

The continued theme from the people holding positions of power in Scottish fitba is incompetence.

    No communication,no ideas. Clueless.
