Fighting the same foe too many times

Napoleon observed that no one should fight the same enemy too many times, as eventually their superior ways and techniques will become redundant as the inferior foe will eventually hit on a strategy which works.

Dundee United did reasonably well in their two games against Celtic in the last 9 days, despite playing a considerable part of both games with a man disadvantage.  They will arrive at Celtic Park tomorrow night having learned a few lessons, and hooping to compete with a full complement of players.

The danger for Celtic lies in what happened against St Johnstone at Celtic Park earlier this month.  The Perth team have won only two of their nine games since 17 January but they knew what to expect from Celtic, who were marginally off-pace, enough so to leave the field without points.  Another marginally off-pace performance tomorrow night and talk of trebles will evaporate in an instant.

If we’re vulnerable at any point between now and the end of the season, it’s this midweek.

    In the dark days of 2009, 2010 and 2011, when a Rangers team financially doped up to the eyebrows with money they should have set aside as contingency to pay the big tax bill, you may re member the Celtic support totally divided on the wisdom or otherwise of Celtic’s more prudent approach to finances.

     

     

    I always thought our approach right and that at some time Rangers would get their come uppance.

     

     

    However I never imagined in my wildest dreams that they would screw up their very existence with such a disregard for karma and reality.

     

     

    These twin fates can be seen sitting on the roof of Ibrox stadium with safety belts fastened to stop them falling off the roof laughing.

     

     

    I just hope the decide to pay Hampden a visit next.

    As soon as I posted that,I spotted the flaw. That ticket might well be valid-all HCTS should be-but not if the seat isn’t.

    I’ve never gave much time to the veracity of Karma but I actually started straying towards that tonight for the first time with regards to the others

     

    I found the words confession, humility, and repentance ringing through my ears

     

    If only they had went down that route who knows what may have been the the outcome

     

    But the again such thought processes may have too much of a Catholic connotation to them

    As a lurker reading through tonight’s posts, weefra comes across as an immature juvenile, who’s parents should put a block on his browser…which is probably far from accurate.
