For the love of the game. And endurance of Ally McCoist

1247

Close to 100 people agreed to participate in the Scottish FA’s disciplinary panel, as Neil Lennon put it yesterday, “for the love of the game”.  Processes were established and although panel members would meet and be introduced to club officials who were subject to their decisions, they were granted freedom from publicity in order for them to hand out punishments free of intimidation.

This freedom has now gone.

Such was the reaction to Ally McCoist’s public demand to know the names of the panel members who judged the actions of his club the SFA felt it prudent to select panellists who were happy to expose themselves and their places of employment to the outcry the original panellists endured.  IF they uphold of increase the penalties.

On Wednesday evening we should find out whether intimidation of the SFA works.

The biggest scandal of all is that despite the consequences of McCoist’s actions, the SFA have taken no disciplinary action against him.  Rangers officials are free to react to the appeal judgement in the same manner as the original without fear of consequence.

Other managers who are pursued for more prosaic matters might consider the SFA panel have something personal against them.

It may sound naive but what I want for my club is simply… equality. (not just within the SFA compound though) Give us our equal due and everything else will follow.

All I want from the hun is that they pay what they owe and respect Scotland as a county they should be proud to live in as opposed despotically intimidating. I’d even forgo on an apology from them if it would make them move forward towards an appreciation of life with morals.

That done, if they are better than us within the rules then so be it. We have no divine right to a hegemonistic dynasty and we don’t (with thought and heart) proclaim such a right; we don’t , as a support, regimentally subscribe to such supremacist mantras as WATP.

I don’t want to play second fiddle to anybody but neither do I want to lord over anybody either. All I want for Scotland is peace and prosperity; and a society that can celebrate diversity without prejudice. I feel violated when people denigrate my country beyond worthless.

I told you I was naive.

    She’s a maniac.

I hink Dermot Desmond knocked her back one time, and she’s still ramblin’ on about it to this day ffs.

Let it go Margaret – there is no perfect world, even Celtic isn’t perfect!!(close though)

Celtic was here before you,me and Dermot Desmond – and it will still be here, long after we are all gone.

  3. We know what Satan F.C. is.

    *~*

We know what Celtic F.C is.

‘In 2003, Celtic reached the UEFA Cup Final, where they lost 3-2 to FC Porto. An estimated 80,000 Celtic supporters travelled to Seville for the occasion.Celtic fans received awards from UEFA and FIFA for their behaviour at the match.Upon handing the award to Celtic fans FIFA president Sepp Blatter described them as being “the greatest in the world”.’

  4. And by the way,no group of football fans have ever been given honours such as that.

    No,we don’t have a sense of entitlement; no,we don’t have a policy of exclusiveness.

Yes,we are inclusive, and yes,we are one of the most loved football clubs in the world.

We have much to celebrate, the least of which is the death of RFCia.

They are consigned to the dustbin of history, and their demise has been ignominious.

We have so much to look forward to,tomorrow and for many seasons to come.

    HH !

Do not insult my intelligence! As the huns have continued to cheat and amplify their cheating Celtic have consolidated and down sized accordingly over the last 15 years. Retrospectively, it is now obvious to all that hun cheating was off the scale. Criminal. Just short of match fixing. 700 games and 22 illegally won trophies later and we still dont know if our Irish aficionados of the correct persuasion are on board with the mainstream Celtic support as of May 12th 2012 to bury Newco or not. No. They are hanging around to see whats “best for Celtic”. Whether PL means the Donut, the supporters, the stakeholders or himself (who has seen his salary increased by an order of magnitude since Seville) we still do not know.

Yes Celtic will be here for a long time to come. However, the next few months will have a major play as in which form. Hun battered wives or victorious Celts! True Celts? Hun supplicants for a few bob? or what? As I said Lets wait and see. I have a hat waiting to be eaten.

I was here on the night it happened to you mate, and my anger about it lasted days. I couldn’t believe the naked hatred in this country had always taken away one of the most compassionate, decent and most generous men on this blog. I don’t know you half as well as I’d like to mate, but I am honoured to think of you as a friend. You are one of those people who’s generosity shines through, and your work on numerous causes will not be forgotten and affords you a genuine place of honour.

You are a good man, mate, one of the people in this world about whom the greater part of mankind may know nothing of … but it’s your sort who keep the wheels turning mate. You act when others talk, you seek neither praise nor advantage in doing the things you do. You are the real deal.

You are what makes our club special, and the difference between us and them is exemplified in your post tonight, where even through the pain you do not seek to turn it into an Us against Them post. Indeed, you have long given credit to one of their number that night … more credit, I believe, than the guy in question deserves. But that’s the difference between you and them.

Margaret – We are one of the best run clubs in European football, there is no getting away from that fact.I don’t care about Desmond,or Lawwell. But what i am saying is this…we could do a hell of a lot worse.

For what he is worth…Desmond has invested very little, but where would our club be now without Dermot Desmond? A conservative estimate,he has invested at least £50million of his own coin in our club.

And,i here you say – but sure somebody else would/could have done the same,if not more…but then i ask you this question – who else would have invested so much? And if you can answer me that question,i will ask you another question – Why? Why have they not invested to the extent that Desmond has? – What is stopping him/she/them? The shares are there if they want to buy them.

I am ok with that description. In my opinion the Donut is still pining for the EPL and has never forgiven “us” for not beating Porto in 2003..something that the Blessed Martin twigged to. ok. Lets wait and see. However, I have a bad feeling about the whole thing and how it will play out. i.e. Newco in SPL next season. I hope not but lets wait and see. Celtic have a big say. Too many technocrats hoping for their salaries and Celtic be damned!

Celtic have pulled the plug on the deal to sign Polish centre-half Jaroslaw Fojut on a Bosman deal.

Fojut suffered a knee injury playing for Slask Wroclaw a fortnight ago and met up with Celtic’s medical team in London last week.

A pre-contract deal had been agreed but with fears that the defender may have suffered cruciate ligament damage the deal is now off.

Neil Lennon admitted: “It looks like Jaroslaw has done his cruciate and that deal will be off now. He was in London on Tuesday with our doctor Roddy Macdonald to see a specialist.

“Of course when you sign a player on a pre-contract there is always that clause in it, so we have the option to break it.

“And going on the medical advice we’re getting we won’t be taking him. I think he’s had a cruciate injury before and it looks like he’s suffered the same thing again.”

With Glenn Loovens and Daniel Majstorovic out of contract during the summer bringing in two centre-halfs as well as securing the future of Fraser Forster or otherwise will be Lennon’s transfer priorities.

Margaret – The club was £18million in debt AFTER the Seville season!

Something had to give, one way,or the other.I was crying out for him to invest more money in players – We were a powerful team, with a very decent manager – Porto, lucky to beat us – went on to win the Champions League the season after ffs!

He is a known gambler,i was hoping that he would speculate, take a gamble…but he didn’t,he decided that it was time to cut costs – i think that he history will be fair in his favour though…With a little bit more investment, could we have won the CL? Under MON? I don’t think so,great motivator that he his…I would say that Lenny is a better manager,Lenny isn’t afraid to make changes.

He backed WGS up to the hilt, even gave Mogga a few bob…didn’t really work out – Lenny had pittance in comparison to those two,yet he is coming good.

Athletico Madrid have stated that we were there most difficult opponents, they went on to win the thing.

We are on the verge of something special here – if we qualify for the group stages – Celtic Park is going to erupt.

    The possibilities are endless.

We could be entering a golden era.

If Celtic accept Newco into the SPL I think a third of Celtic support will

financially walk away. A third will be torn about doing the right thing, that third will over time either walk away or tone down their involvement.

The remaining third (approx) that will be left are the ones who in my opinion fall into the realm of indirect hun lovers, who dont know it but need someone to hate, sing IRA songs, think Celtic’s for catholics only, too stupid to know that they fund huns and probably booed Fergus.

By “Celtic accept” I dont mean “awe we voted naw but awe shucks whit tae dae”.

I think if that’s the stance of Celtic and are depending on the Uberdumb

there will a need over the next few years for more downsizing.

I will know for sure when I see how much Celtic prepare for Europe between now and August.

I really hope and pray that after liquidation Newco are not in the SPL.

The Sun missive tonight is more stalling till after the season to see what Ticketus and HRMC do. These are the real deciders not any Rangers buyers and that my friends is what Celtic is waiting on.
