For the love of the game. And endurance of Ally McCoist

1247

Close to 100 people agreed to participate in the Scottish FA’s disciplinary panel, as Neil Lennon put it yesterday, “for the love of the game”.  Processes were established and although panel members would meet and be introduced to club officials who were subject to their decisions, they were granted freedom from publicity in order for them to hand out punishments free of intimidation.

This freedom has now gone.

Such was the reaction to Ally McCoist’s public demand to know the names of the panel members who judged the actions of his club the SFA felt it prudent to select panellists who were happy to expose themselves and their places of employment to the outcry the original panellists endured.  IF they uphold of increase the penalties.

On Wednesday evening we should find out whether intimidation of the SFA works.

The biggest scandal of all is that despite the consequences of McCoist’s actions, the SFA have taken no disciplinary action against him.  Rangers officials are free to react to the appeal judgement in the same manner as the original without fear of consequence.

Other managers who are pursued for more prosaic matters might consider the SFA panel have something personal against them.

  1. This is not a time for lamenting, wringing of hands and tearing garments asunder.

    Today we celebrate.

We have come through a long three season winter of discontent and dashed hopes, to the sweet silver light of the dawn.

We have gone from black in white to colour.

Any bumps on the road will be of the thickness of a coat of paint.

Meanwhile there’s a nuclear winter downriver.

Don’t you feel sorry for them?

    Altogether now “NOT A BIT.”

    ‘GG

PS Best wishes to MWB. With the help of friends and family you will prevail

Loved when the few times he did score – the celebration – put that in yer effin’ papers!! :)

Mogga was like Ardiles at Spurs – 5 up front!! There is the Celtic way,but he took it to extremes.

I will say this though – that was the worst cheating that i have ever witnessed in my life,so blatant – it was as if the SFA/SPL knew that if the huns didn’t win it – they were down the swanny.Lenny’s 1st season as well – they knew all along the cants – anyway it was just delaying tactics, delaying the inevitable.

They were at it,they were at it all along, cheating they were.

But the brave Neil Lennon took a stand, and i am almost certain that the main Bhoys gave Lenny the go ahead.

A couple attending an art exhibition at the National Gallery in Sydney were staring at a portrait that had them totally confused. The painting depicted three black men totally naked, sitting on a park bench. Two of the men had black penises, but the one seated in the middle, had a pink penis.

The curator of the gallery realized the confused couple were having trouble with interpreting the painting and offered his assessment. He went on and on for nearly half an hour explaining how it depicted the sexual emasculation of African-Americans in a predominantly white, patriarchal society. “In fact”, he pointed out, “some serious critics believe that the pink penis reflects the cultural and sociological oppression expressed by gay men in a contemporary society”.

After the curator left, a Scotsman approached the couple and said, “Would you like to know what the painting is really about?”

“Now why would you claim to be more of an expert than the curator of the Gallery?” asked the couple.

“Because I’m the guy who painted it,” he replied. “In fact, there is no African-American representation at all. They’re just three Scottish coal-miners. The guy in the middle went home for lunch.”

I was gonnae leave this as I have no intention of disrupting the blog but sadly my big mouth (fingers) have dictated otherwise :-)

I love CQN, I really do, but I have said before that it is is not a true reflection of the Celtic support and by that I mean folk who attend Celtic games and purchase season tickets, week after week and year after year.

What Paul has created is a medium for Tims the world over to keep in contact and to air their views. That is what you’re doing now as is your right, you get the opportunity to predict, pontificate and prevaricate, that is fine.

However, amidst your rhettoric is an underlying criticism of us, the Celtic support. It has always been there and again as a Tim you have that right to express your opinions.

What I won’t accept is a guy who rarely goes to watch Celtic making predictions as to what the Celtic support will do should a newco be accepted into the SPL based on what he thinks are our views.

I’ve already posted, my supporter’s bus will be full next season, home and away. What happens across the river will not determine whether we follow Celtic or not.

Respectfully, please don’t preach from America or wherever it is you reside about what Celtic supporters will do in the future until you’ve walking in their shoes.

Please don’t give the myth out that because our board have not spent 100m like Huns, they are wonderfull

Fact is teams that have less income than us go further in Europe because they invest and recoup the money from European income

We just gamble we will “get away with it” by having no center half

    I share you’re concern’s re: The board’s mind-set with hun-newco.

I think that, so far the bored have said nothing because the goal posts keep moving and, like everyone else confusion seems to be the order of the day.

But, when Doncaster announced the delay to the 30th May…..I automatically thought about, 18th May….SB renewal deadline ?

I’m only guessing but, I wouldn’t rule out Celtic having asked for a delay also, just to see how many SB’s they could shift in that time ?

I haven’t trusted the Celtic hierarchy for many years and, I have a beef with you as, I booed Fergus when he put up the league flag and, I’ll tell you why.

The Celtic support waited for 9 years to get a manager who could win us the league. In 1998, Wim and Murdo delivered the flag….only to find that, they were going to be removed in preference to, the retention of the despised Jock Brown as General manager ?

So for me….I won’t allow myself to be fooled by the re-writers of history.

    Fergus was DESERVEDLY booed! IMO!

The SFA sacked Farry not Fergus. Anyway Farry was just a Patsy for Celtic as the hun SFA machinery only used it as an excuse to fire him which they had been wanting to do 2 years previously after the princess Diana murder. Scotland were supposed to play Belarus that day and Rangers players Ally McCoist, Andy Goram and Gordon Durie had refused to play in the match if it had been played on the day of the funeral being royal huns that they are. Farry was forced to stand down and the match was rescheduled at the huns dictate and it wasnt until the Cadete registration issue that surfaced 2 years later that the SFA and huns got rid of their tinpot who must have had a long lie in the day of Diana’s murder to keep up with up to date hunnery. So what I am trying to say in a nice way is..naw yer wrang!

I don’t remember the huns complaining too much about Farry when, his jiggery-pockery kept Cadete out of TWO hun games ?

Fergus didny get rid of Farry because of his part in, historical anti-Celtic practices…..Fergus was more concerned about the money he was paying Cadete and, not getting to use him on the park and, the SFA shafted Fergus/Celtic with their, through the roof rent-fees for Hampden!

    Any news on new signings?

I would sell Hooper(upwards of £5Mill) and Stokes (not good enough for Europe) and bring in 2 quality strikers. 1 of them a target man and the other a striker with excellent movement.

For me the above were far too inconsistent this season. If Hooper is performing well most weeks it would be a no brainer but he has been a Jekyll and Hyde all season.

An experienced dominant Centre Half as well and we won’t be too far away from having a good chance to get into the CL group stages.
