GERMANS DENY INTEREST IN HENRY BHOY

1
BUNDESLIGA outfit RB Leipzig have denied reports they are interested in signing Celtic target Henry Onyekuru from Belgian side Eupen.
The Nigerian striker has scored 10 goals for the club after helping them to promotion last season.
While the likes of Fenerbahce and CSKA Moscow have been linked with the 19-year-old pacy attacker, it appears the Hoops are the only team to have submitted a bid of around £1million which was turned down by Eupen.

A chief of the Belgian team claimed they prefer the forward to move to the Bundesliga where RB Leipzig are reportedly interested in signing him in the summer.

However, it appears the supposed interest is nothing but speculation, with the Germans claiming they are not chasing Onyekuru.

A director of the club said: “We are presently not close to signing any player. We know the player (Onyekuru), but we have not submitted any bid for him, even talks with his team over him have not taken place.”
Meanwhile, Onyekuru has not trained for four days as he attempts to push through a move to Celtic.
He was missing again yesterday as his team were hammered 3-0 by Royal Excel Mouscron.
