St Mirren sat comfortably above Hamilton and Hearts in the league a week ago, but midweek wins for the bottom two sides asks big questions of the Paisley team. Celtic might feel the pressure eased after they extended their lead at the top of the table to 13 points, but focus on picking up a point or more will be absolute for tomorrow’s visitors. Defeat for Saints could see Ross County move six points ahead of them on Sunday.
With a visit to Ibrox next weekend, Neil Lennon would surely prefer to get the job done early against St Mirren, allowing him to rest a few legs after what is likely to be our last week of the season with two games. If we are made to battle into the second half, as we did when St Mirren visited earlier this season, it could be a long afternoon. Taking a 16 point lead should be sufficient incentive.

Every time we score against the huns every blue arm goes up lookin’ for offside.
Love it!
Hoping we win the title early enough to get a look at Klimala, Arzani, Shved, Soro, Bayo, Connell etc.
Outside chance we can win it at Easter Road before the split.
The beeb are still banned from ipox – another slippy interview (second hand) published – just checking
it’s the hope that kills them

If the Huns lose to Ross County & we beat St, Mirren & the Huns at Ibrox, even allowing them the points for their game in hand we would be 16 ahead with 6 games to play plus a vastly superior goal difference,
We could indeed close it out at Hibs,
Having said all that I am forecasting the 1st game after the split.
Forgot about the Motherwell game. It would be 16 ahead with 7 to play. Still forecasting 1st game after the split.

Sounds about right to me. Neil wouldn’t rest players for the last Old Firm (even if the title is won)
So that would leave 3 games to experiment with.
In Blane Valley not a bad little place.

I think you are correct, I’m on holiday for a week in April but thankfully its the cup semi weekend and I don’t take tickets for Hamdump, so looking forward to a big league winning party in April.
This a potential banana skin.
We do need early goal(goals) to take the pressure off. Livingston and Perth had loads of pressure and at no point we were comfortable. We need a 2 goal cushion early, coasting with early substitutions
Looking at the Corona Virus updates, it seems it’s only a matter of time before mass gatherings are banned,
Can see either closed doors matches or games postponed until situation improves.
If the league is mathematically won prior to the last Glasgow derby, I’d have no problem with Lenny giving experience and getting a look at other squad members.

I was thinking exactly the same. A true legend. I’m sure I’d have been at every one of those games. What about the snow covered pitch…an I moan about the cold these days.
What was the scenario when we had to be big Roy’s guardian or something due to him being so young in an away European tie, anyone remember?
I see Phil Mac has gone into overdrive on slippy over the last few days – bit of click baiting.
I don’t think anything significant happened to them in Dubai. With a travelling party of 40 odd folk it would have come out long before now.
I think they overachieved in the first half of the season, they got some early momentum and rode it. They worked super hard and got lots of those little breaks that kept it ticking over.
Even in light of that, there was no evidence that they were going to be able to go to the wire and handle the pressure. But they bought into their own hype. The trouble with the hype is when the first layer was stripped away, there was very little left. Foundations build on sand and not substance and importantly evidence.
When they came back for the second half of the season, they dropped off in form and intensity which was unsustainable. Once teams began to realise this they have got after them and they have not been able to cope. All of those little momentum items have gone the other way. The pressure has intensified tenfold with each passing game and they have now full on imploded. The vile hatchet job on their Captain this week has been incredible.
In summary, they thought they were better than they were and that they had what it takes. But they don’t as expectations don’t match with reality. They are paying a heavy price as their squad value plummets by the day.
David17.
Think Morelos had a lot to do with it. Early season he was going well scoring for fun particularly in Europe,
However since the break he has been shocking.
Take Eddie out of Celtic team and we would struggle too,
I also think their reliance on ageing guys like Defoe, Davis & McShagger has caught up with them , all 3 are struggling.
CORKCELT on 6TH MARCH 2020 5:42 PM
Morelos wasn’t involved in the first 3 games after the break. They were already on a downward spiral by then. He is as you say however, a big contributory factor.
On the Huns form , even their captain admitted that teams sat back for the first half of the season. Now they are having a go and Goldson et al can’t handle that😵😱

Roy Aitken.?
My addled ole bonce thinks it was an away game v Zwichau Sachsenring. An East German team.At the time unaccompanied minors weren’t allowed to enter East Germany.Celtic ,in consequence ,accompanied him.
Panic buying – isn’t that what we do at the end of a transfer window. 😨
‘We need people to protect us….’

SOT, that sounds right. I think that might have been the game big Roy, boobed and let their striker through, when he should have fouled him. He learned and never made that mistake again. Loved the big man. Pity we never see much of him.
Gerrard just been appealing for help on STV. Utterly shameless.
Gerrard.
:-)
Hun dignity .
happy friday y’all
What the hell do the inner circle at newclub do?
SG has undoubtedly improved things
he has clear limits to his managerial style
the squad has been expanded significantly
there are big games in the team
europe has been a massive success
the fans think they are the best
they thought they were back when they beat us at CP
the dressing room is lost
financial capacity looking forward is unclear
Sort that out huns!
Bada
When they start speaking in gocki tongue he just know there is a little internecine fighting going on.
I would suggest the squeeze is being put on jum as the guff about Morelos,car/mrs/ and most of all the racist narrative do not sit well with players.players today like to be the centre of football stories not a fantasy narrative that piles more and more pressure on their top scorer as he unwillingly and unwittingly was made the centre of something not true.
Hope yir good :-))

SuperSutton – Regarding Dubai rumours, it is Dubai we are talking about. Hotel parties with hookers and coke are not likely to go unnoticed by the authorities. Or have things changed there so much?
The players are not exactly in the uber rich category where the police might be told to turn a blind eye. Nor are the players so stupid they’d risk a lifetime in jail . . . Well you get my meaning. And Dubai does hand out life sentences for it.
I’d guess it’s made up nonsense.

That sort of thing happens a lot – Esp hookers and alcohol….& emirates are the worst. Plenty of Russian girls.

I’ve spent a lot of time in the Middle East, KSA to be precise. Stayed in a hotel where one once the (very many) princes took over the whole of the top floor, Penthouse.
Loud music throughout the night, ladies arriving and leaving in clear sight. Alcohol obviously consumed, probably drugs too.
If you are rich enough, anything goes. Was informed By a nurse who worked in A&E that the number one cause of serious injuries / fatal car accidents was alcohol. But only made it into the official statistics if the person involved was a non-Saudi.
Added to that, my source was one of the youngsters…
Therefore. Believable.

Yes
Just had the pleasure of a couple of drinks with Favourite Uncle and his lovely wife. Lovely to meet you both and enjoy the rest of your visit to the Fair City.
The Huns have signed first team veterans they couldn’t normally afford………….and goat lucky with Fat Charlie – early on…….
the apparent improvement in their form is not a factor of The Scouse Ned, it’s bent ekonomics…………..
Take that away and back to being bang average.
Don’t believe the hype.
Pay attention.
Lots of questions in Neil Lennon’s presser on CV.
‘Financial compensation paid by the govt. or SFA?’
As I wrote last night, watch the bandwagon roll once the Huns/SFA have pocketed the cash from Europa/Israel game.
They will suddenly start coughing.
