Before digesting news reports that Dave King is set to return to Scottish football as a director of Newco Rangers, it’s probably worth a caveat. Today’s ‘news’ has the same heritage as pretty much every false steer emanating from Ibrox over the past decade. Honest Dave King may well hope to take over at Ibrox but I could just as easily believe he has no intentions of getting involved.
Two months ago King accepted liability for 41 counts of contravening the South African Income Tax Act, while agreeing to pay the resultant bill, the equivalent of £46m. By act of sheer comic genius he is being heralded as the most appropriate person to take control of Newco Rangers, the club brought about by the disastrous income tax affairs of Oldco Rangers, while King was on the board.
Lord Nimmo Smith prevaricated on some issues in his report into Oldco but he was unequivocal in his condemnation of the directors, including King. South African judge, Brian Southwood, described King as a “glib and shameless liar” in 2011.
In every practical sense this man is a perfect fit for the Rangers group of clubs. Every scrap of information available on how he conducts his affairs screams ‘Rangers tradition’.
As for Fit and Proper? Don’t make me quote a second judge!
In the event the SFA have to make a Fit and Proper decision on King they will have to consider Nimmo Smith’s view. It is not even remotely credible that the SFA are competent to rule on King while their president was subject to the same criticism from Nimmo Smith (although Judge Southwood provides a convenient out).
The narrative being peddled today is a final throw of the dice by some, nothing more. ‘A guy will hunn’ers of millions is coming in to make everything OK’. Aye, sure thing.

Oooh real chance for Stokes
So the soap dodgers are selling ducks now
What is the point in that
Stoksey wins a free last seconds of 1st half. Gets a half chance from free, as header came back off the bar. Tried a spectacular volley but had a fresh air. Half Time 1 nil to Germans. Not a bad showing by R.O.I. obviously under the cosh a lot but defending well. Unlucky for goal a nothing shot deflects off defender and wrong foots the keeper.

I certainly do, but, more importantly, the sevco hoardes are now catching on to this FACT also, and are currently in PANIC mode…… after the Angry General Meeting (AGM)’, they will move to THREATS OF VIOLENCE mode, and then they will move to the SFA favourite … CIVIL UNREST MODE……. Now, where are my sedatives ??
Good Evening Timland
Hate international weekend’s……..btw if you’ve ever
payed into a Celtic game pre 14th of February 2012
then you were buying into a corrupt game……if you
did not know that then your no very bright….it’s always
been bent in favour of the hun………if we stick together
and see them of in their second season in the top
league they will desert, just like the early 80’s.

Good evening CQN, what a place this, full off so many generous Bhoys and Ghirls. Your nightly update on our St. John Doyle Donation fund.
I know some of you told me you would wait until Mydonate account is set up. However, on the back of my post at 20:06 last night, the consensus from posts and e-mails I have received is that you would be happy to give our donation to the Sean Ryan Fund. For those of you who did not read my post at 20:06, which was a message I received from Linda here is an excerpt of it:
Hi Lennybhoy, thanks for all of your kindness. George would really have appreciated your help. We had planned to launch a charity in memory of our wee boy Sean who was still born in 2000. We had intended to launch the charity at the re -Gen wards ceremony on 24 October in the Crown Plaza hotel in Glasgow. The Children and I will still be attending the event and still intend to form the charity in the name of Sean’s Trust. George has wanted to buy a couple of Log Cabins at Loch Lomand for families who had lost a child to still birth to spend some respite quiet time…
…Best Wishes Lennybhoy and thank you all for your amazing help and love YWNWA Hail Hail keep the faith.
So far, you the unbelievable CQN Family have donated a staggering £800. From this we have paid for:
Four tickets that will allow the Ryan Family to sit together at the Ajax
A beautiful Wreath that will be with George tomorrow in his Home
We have also submitted a tribute to George that has a photograph provided by the Family; this will be on the Big Screen at the Ajax game. There is normally a charge for this but it has been waived on this occasion.
There is still a couple of quid left, which we will donate to the Sean Ryan Trust, something that George and Linda had planned on starting in memory of their ‘Wee Bhoy’. Sadly George can only look down on Linda and the Ryans as they launch the ‘Sean Ryan Trust’, we can stand tall and strong beside Linda and the Family in supporting their best, friend, Father and Pal in achieving their dream in buying a couple of Log Cabins at Loch Lomond.
Enough, feel like I’m prattling on now, all ask is if you can and want to donate to the Sean Ryan Trust on behalf of CQN please contact me and I will give you details how.
Thank you to everybody that has given so far, £800 to date, superb effort.

England will need to improve with Ukraine winning. Ukraine’s last game is against the mighty San Marino, the one team that gives Moldova credibility.

Celtic Duck – live at The Ashfield
valentinesday
They completely disappeared in the 80’s
I, to my shame added to there smallest ever attendance, may actually have been 90, I don’t know. From what I remember I attended the Ipox stadium while trying to get tickets for a Celtic game, they happened to be playing the team from Paisley. I actually think they played them three times in one week, I was at two of them!! Never gave any money over to the SFA or the zombies. I think ST m played them in the cup then in the lg at ipox where there was something like 2043 or something, there lowest attendance. Obviously I was not in their end either time. I keep meaning to look back at their smallest home crowd ever, delve into the history books, unlucky for me their deid and the history is gone:O)
Chaos in Irish box, great goal for Schürrle.
