I would play Bain, if fit. Otherwise Barkas as Hazard is too inexperienced for this and they will put him under pressure at every turn. Also slightly worried about our defense as it isnt settled.

Maybe an idea for the Celtic Trust to actively post on forums like this,to publisize any ongoing and upcoming issues. Could increase their membership, if it’s pushed, rather than guys scratching about for info and links,as ever if anyone doesn’t want to engage, scroll on by is an option.

Sure Hazard is inexperienced , it showed in the Hearts game when he let Naiscruples get the better of him . The problem is , how does he get experience with no reserve league . Occasional U21 international games and the odd development game are not enough .
That’s not to say that Barkas should be dumped without a fair chance .

Agreed. His heroics in the shoot-out glossed over the fact he cost us winning the game.
Was he redeemed? Not sure. League games don’t go to penalties. I’m not convinced he’s any better than Bain or Barkas right now…..not to say that he one day won’t be but right now, he’s our third best keeper.

Res 12/11 and the Celtic Trust
I have thought long and hard about whether to make this post, but I feel it is important to set the record straight.
I speak for myself only, not for Auldheid or any of the other 3 Resolutioners, although I am one of the original signatories of Res 12, or two of same in fact as my son is also a signatory.
I am a member of the Celtic Trust and have been for a few years. I am personally acquainted with some of the committee who I hold in the highest regard, and I have met some others occasionally.
I expressed a view on the decision of the Celtic Trust not to support Res 12/11 going forward, and I stick by that view. It was expressed in a reasonable and measured way and did not reference any individuals, nor did it make personal attacks on anyone – I would not contemplate doing so as it is not in my nature. The posts are out there in the ether and can be read by anyone wishing to do so.
The Celtic Trust has campaigned successfully on many causes over recent years, in particular the OBAF, FAC and An Gorta Mor. I strongly support all of these issues, and will continue to do so.
What I find surprising is to link Res 12/11 and the above issues, together with the disgusting behaviour of some members of society towards catholic churches – and I also strongly support the line taken by the Celtic Trust, and others, in this regard.
I am well aware of, and grateful for, the good advice and support provided to the Resolutioners by the Celtic Trust, and for their vote of support for Res 11 at the recent Celtic AGM.
I believe in justice, fair play and a level playing field all of which Res 12/11 is about, and I will continue to support that cause. There is evidence of systemic corruption and criminality in Scottish football, and it needs to be rooted out. Worst of all, in my opinion, is the potential collusion and connivance apparent to sustain that position – which has absolutely nothing to do with the Celtic Trust. But should it be a cause that could be taken up by the Celtic Trust? In my opinion, undoubtedly yes.
Confirmation bias is undoubtedly present in most of us, including myself. Hopefully others see it the same way. I will leave it there.

Agreed Conor Hazard is inexperienced, but just how do you get experience if you dont play. ? Clean sheets also build confidence.
Against Hearts I think the enormity of the occasion and the historic factor affected him initially, but he recovered with superb penalty saves.
He is 22 years old, imo if your good enough you are certainly old enough.
Look at Jordan Pickford at Connor’s age.
I’m also sure Odsonne Edouard will be able vouch for young goalkeepers. The current Leeds Utd number 1 Illan Meslier is younger than Connor and the financial pressure on Leeds to stay up will be overpowering.
Imo Connor Hazard deserves to keep his place. To drop him for any of our two underperforming alternatives would be another unnecessary gamble.
