  1. D66- worked with Winter’s dad, uber hun and ex Grade 1 referee, used to play 5 a sides with his Oldco tat on.

  2. BBC Site:

“Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Celtic (in theory) are among the possible record-breakers in 2021.”

It is not a theory but a FACT that Celtic are POSSIBLE record-breakers.

It is the small things like this which show just how deepy ingrained is the anti-Celtic bias in National Institutions.

  3. ST TAMS,

I thought he played well. These morons just won’t get off the boys back. Some of the Tweets are shocking.

  4. Anger is indeed an Energee.

    A penalty Disclaimed?

Wow how Sweet this Celtic Triumph would be.

Rest in Peace hard liner Jim.

If only Dundee United got it over the Line.

  5. David 66 @ 8:31 am

Was it our Board who changed the KO time?

These are the fixtures for Wednesday:

    Celtic 15:00 Dundee United

    St Johnstone 15:00 Hamilton Academical

    St Mirren 15:00 Rangers

    Livingston 16:00 Aberdeen

    Hibernian 18:00 Ross CountyMotherwell

    Motherwel l18:15 Kilmarnock

There are many areas where I have concern re The Board but I am not sure this is one of them.

  6. PITYMEVIN

Our captain should be questioning the referee as to why he’s not being taken off the park. Said for years , we are too nice

  7. I haven`t seen any of yesterday`s game so cannot really comment on Taylor`s display. On the occasions I have seen him, I have considered him a decent player who gives his all. I feel his bigest `problem` is that he is not Kieran Tierney.

  8. TURKEYBHOY

I think Taylor is treated really unfairly by a lot of our supporters. Considering what Frimpong gets away with.

When you swap a £25m player for a £2m one, that’s what you get.

A good honest pro , who will improve.

  9. St Tams @ 10:48am

I think most of us would like to see the players, the Manager and `The Club` all being more quetioning of the unfairness to which we are regularly subjected. On the other hand, if we did, how would the Establishment in Scotland react? Would we be better or worse off if we adoped a more militant line?

The social mores of a country are much more influential than many think so I believe we would be likely to see even more Celtic supporters turning against our Club than is already the case.

  10. BB – I heard that

HS – Was it not if not then why not complain or liase with the support and say we tried to keep the original time slot to allow as many to see it as possible.

    D :)

  11. Hot Smokie,

Greg is a very decent player. He cuts the ball back very well.

Neil, after these 2 games, must use the Squad Celtic have.

  12. So are fans who are concerned about the way the board deal with issues pertaining to rules of the game finance of our competitiors the application or abandoning of rules just supposed to say nothing and trust the board to hold the football authorities to account, where exactly has that got us? What has changed?

Look at refereeing in 2 games recently they kept 11 men on the park when they should have had 10 for 70 minutes in a game they won 2 1 that is tilting the balance in their favour, Collum yesterday another perfect shit in the nest performance from him as he doesnt want to be criticised and punished for doing his job, a weak referee who can be exploited by them and is every time is is needed.

Until referees are external appointments with an external training and monitoring process in place this will continue to happen, they are the only people we are told who have no personal biases, that is absurd, it isnt human yet we are told this is how it is.

  13. St Tams,

the last time we questioned their honesty, they went on strike.

I believe the main point of RES12/11 was to clean out FTSFA and attempt to have a level playing field.

The players are told to say nothing and this is were it effects performance, as you can only go so long before your mindset changes.

Months ago I did state I would have liked Roy Keane as our manager, but this was mainly for the reason above.

The longer we accept these decisions, the longer and bigger honest mistakes will happen.

Naismith was the perfect example, stays on the pitch and the fouls our keeper at their second goal.

    No retrospective action taken.

    SMILE AND WAVE BHOYS.

  14. David66

How they liaise with the support is, IMO, a very real failing. In this case, though, a lone voice would be slaughtered by the impartial Scottish Media.

    PETEC

Yes. I have no problems with Greg. Eddie`s form is of more concern to me.

  15. Watched the game back last night.

Would certainly have settled for that performance and result.

    Griff needs Eddie

    Eddie needs Griff

In terms of the Glasgow Derby, the question should be ‘does Broonie come in to partner Soro?’ The wee buzz bomb has to start.

Jim…..Taylor. Played a good, competent game as per his recent performances. Glad for the lad.

AoW – fingers crossed and a wee prayer said that your Mum is home soon

  16. And if fans are critical of the board manager coaches and players it is because they care, they have deep feelings for the club and a determination not to allow standards to drop off a cliff.

  17. Talking of social mores ( well, I was), I came across this one :

` in China, a man should not wear a green hat, as it represents someone whose wife has been unfaithful to him.`

Our Away support in Beijing would look like so many cuckolds :-))

  18. David66

R Spelling, I am sure Big Jimmy would be willing to help you out !

Talking of the man, where is he this morning?

  19. Jamesgang,

Only a sentimental fool would play Brown in a game against decent opposition, where a disciplined, brave performance and creativity will win the game. I’ve not time for the pantomine that he’ll bring.

Play Soro (DM), Turnbull and McGregor as two No. 8s and either Moi or Tam Rogic or Ntcham (I know, its my bias) at No. 10 behind Eddie and Griff.

    Attack them. Down the middle.

Forget about our mediocre full backs who should defend only and have the 2 Chris’s at CH with Duffy on a train to the south coast.

    Barkas in goal.

Pace, athelticism and directness against their tiring legs.

  20. Big Wavy @ 11:16am

`Only a sentimental fool would play Brown in a game against decent opposition, `

….and what kind of fool would appoint and pay many thousands to such a man?

  21. My friends in Celtic,

A good win yesterday in horrendous conditions. But I am certainly not getting carried away. I know we can only play who’s in front of us, however we were playing a second string Hamilton team.

Possibly Odsonne Edouard had his best game this season and he looked interested, but a strikers primary task is to score goals.

He has not scored in open play since the first game of the season.

And that is a major worry going forward.

    HH.

  22. Goals will come from Eddie.

A correlation between a decent midfield, a partner and a return of Eddie’s mojo? I think so.

Sadly, I fear we will strip Eddie of those support systems at Ibrox, to our detriment.

    HH

  23. Never Guy,smokie, Forget. HS Eddie is a really big Game player.

    Leigh back on it too.

    Wednesday will, hopefully, be Good.

    Imagine……..

  24. Signs of life from Eddy, getting back to his best, because he’s up front with LG IMO, NL is in the last chance saloon as far as I can see,we must win on Wednesday, and we must win at Poundland, they will be happy with a draw.I dread to think of us playing 1 up front for 70 minutes, then putting another striker on to try and win the game.Yes,this fool would play Broonie, I said same before League Cup Final, and he justified his place in the team.

  25. Sad to read Chris Sutton’s dad passed away yesterday, after years of dementia, Chris has been saying for a while that he’s sure it was linked to heading a ball, from when he was a player.

  26. BADA,

Yes this fool agrees with you on Broony. No idea what game some were watching in the final.Plenty of room for both Broon and Soro. Not like for like players.Too many “No shows” from Moi for me against them.Huns strongest in midfield.Win that, and we are in with a great chance.

  27. St Tams,

I think we are snookered on full backs to the point where our best one plays in Turkey currently. It’s a real achilles for us.

I’d try and give Laxalt a job on Tavernier that frustrated him down that flank. I’d do likewise on El Hamed on the right and force both to be merely defensive man markers. Poor state but I’d have none of our full backs in the squad next season.

    HH

  28. Ajer right back, Laxalt or Taylor left side dont attack just deny space to Captain penalty and Barisic
