Griff did the finger to the lips…….shhhhhh thing.

Players know not to do that and he shouldn’t have because every one of our players should know that they need to be squeaky clean or they will get punished……saying that…….haha…..i bet he thought it was worth it :)

  2. Excellent result , always love winning through there , Leigh’s goal and assist were top class, the Bhoy is becoming the striker we have been looking for over the last couple of seasons.

Tom Rogic coming on made the difference driving at the Hearts defence with skill and strength and got his reward with a classy finish. He has surely got to start in the next couple of games.

Roll on Saturday and the Sheep

Leigh is really showing his natural ability now. How strong was he to hold off Gomis etc? He’d no right to conjure up that finish either after rolling through their defence.

His header against the Accies a few weeks back was in that category too – outstanding.

Hopefully, when Cole is fit he can add mayhem to the opportunities Leigh gets to score.

Unless you were a disgruntled Brit Nat pinning for mother Albion’s bosom to keep you cosy and warm ..

Then, yes .. I do think the country would slowly but surely drag itself into the 21st century.

  5. Dearie me notthebus. Is there a word count I need to use when Celtic win. I mean I criticised if I don’t comment, criticised if I do, told I am not saying enough.

    Are you still attending nursery?

  6. Hunderbirds are Gone on

And young Antipodean Tom took off the crown and passed it on to Stefan of Scandinavia, who could not be prouder. He was now held in the high esteem of the Celtic Hordes, he was the new King of the Phanies :)))

  7. Good evening fellow Celts. I’ve just spent the better part of 2 hours online sharing the game via Skype with one of CQN’s finest, Celticrollercoaster. To make long story short, I’ve been away from the blog for over a year due to the pettiness of some comments from members new and old. Frankly I was tired of the arguing and low ball personal attacks on some of the original group. Celticrollercoaster was good enough to remind me what this blog originally stood for and effectively still does today. No man is bigger than Celtic Football Club or CQN, for that matter, so I am hoping to join the fun, debates and camraderie once again. I may not have a lot to say but l am back to lurking and following closely some great people who I have gained lifelong friendships with because of the blog. Looking forward to traveling home for Saturday’s game. Thanks to Minx1888 and HT. I am forever indebted to you.

Griffiths, another example of some signings you get right, some wrong. Still love to see him play off a Sutton type front man. World class Larsson had Sutty and even Hartson sometimes as a front three never mind loan striker. Griff’s goal was sheer class.

    POTY already.

I agree. Michael Stewart is a rarity in coverage. Fair, logical and sensible.

A rarity indeed mate – I don;t always agree with him but he is (as you point out) fair and logical in his analysis.

Lukasz is a hero for giving to and helping Glasgow Poles in need.

  11. Would be good to see us lay off Joe Hansen for a while. I bet he knows better than anybody that he’s not hitting last season’s heights. But he was still running and putting in effective tackles at 90 mins on Sunday and his assist for Griff tonight was…just fine with me. His day will come again. However…a few games on the spin for Rogic would also be just fine with me!

Off to bed, pretty happy with that tonight.

We tend to look at matters in binary form. Right and wrong. Black and white. So on and so forth.

While Mark Wilson’s evidence was quite remarkable, it is in no way incongruous with Matt McGlone’s. They both saw different parts of the incident, from different perspectives, at different times, and each through the lens of the bevvy.

That McGlone didn’t see Wilson’s version of the initial exchanges happen doesn’t mean it didn’t occur. Wilson’s evidence was, after all, corroborated. Both witnesses – Wilson and McGlone – could conceivably be telling the whole truth as they recall it. Neither saw, registered and remembered the whole incident though.

Saying all that, still scratching my head trying to figure our where Wilson’s depiction of Zaluska is coming from. It seems altogether unlikely.

Equally, there seems nothing in McGlone’s account that would convince me that Paton’s defence, whatever it might have been, was materially undermined.

It’s tempting to reflect on whether Paton simply wanted Wilson’s evidence to be heard in public before accepting the charge and taking the fine.

  14. Court Report : you mean what a drunk guy recalls about a drunken incident when asked in court.. could be crap could be true just because it was said in court doesn’t give much credence to it..who knows the truth.

‘Court Reports’ from a disgruntled employee are used to spin the lies about Jock !

  15. Anybody have any idea what happened to Brooney. Saw him in high spirits hugging Griffiths in the dug out near the end.

What Rogic did coming on as a sub and really taking the game by the scruff of the neck was most impressive. Leighs goal and his part in the build up to the second were magic cameos but my MOM would be Rogic. I hope he gets more game time.

It’s fashionable now to have a go at Joe, well at least it gives Efe & Izzy a break. Stick in there Joe scapegoat of the month will change shortly.

P.S. Thought Izzy played very well tonight.

I actually prefer SJ in that position and I think NR did well to keep his composure after an early booking

All in all a good victory for the hoops in the game of football which year on year becomes closer to basketball as its non contact and too many fouls and you are off

Been in bed ill since monday but what a fillip from Ronny and the boys…always sweet to win at tynecastle. The fans, although greatly reduced in number, were heroic. Now for the sheep on Saturday. Hope I’m fit for it.

Without dragging the blog away from celebrating our tremendous victory tonight, maybe sometime during a quiet period on CQN you can explain how, within the law, Scotland can be dragged into the 21st century wrt Discrimination/Racism.

Why don’t you put the same effort into rejoicing after a great victory?

Lets hear your thoughts on the game, how excited you were at the Griffiths goal, or how you marvelled at the difference the tactical substitution our young manager made to change the game.

Enjoy it, having Celtic in your life is a great pleasure.

Or you could wait till a poor result and come out spouting your usual p*** about the imminent t collapse of Celtic football club, the same imminent collapse you’ve been predicting for the last five years.

I wonder what it will be

  22. mullet and co 2 on

Great goals from and via Griff. He’s getting that proper Celtic forward look about him.

Pleased our defence stepped back a bit tonight but the goal we lost dear oh dear. Sleeping again, does no one shout that we need to concentrate and win it. How many goals lost to set piece finishes. Sort the defence and get two wins in our next two games. We might see a bit more of Rogic who looks a better 10 for Leigh.

  23. TBB –

We had 56% possession tonight at Tynecastle – scored 2 and conceded 1.

    You happy?

    ;-))))

  24. Over the last year I’ve heard Tom Rogic being praised by international team mates and I’m thinking, I’m not seeing it. Well I saw it tonight. Drive, vision and a great touch/close control, totally changed the game, well done that man. Leigh, takes pelters all night then booked for giving a bit back, brilliant for both goals.

Hearts anti football yields no rewards, roll on the sheep, a doing if we get it right.
