  1. Hibs had 3 shots on target and 2 of them went in.

Once again our goalie lets in more than he saves.

This should be addressed NOW and someone who is good in goals should be signed on January 1st.

At left back, centre mid and up front, I don’t think we can get better but a player with a few tricks and an array of passes should be signed as a number 10.

Another CH and if we can get a right back anything like KT then I would be happy.

Big Tom Rogic has not been able to cement a first team place and Armstrong wants away so we should look to raise some money from both and freshen things up.

    Starting with a goalkeeper.

  2. Back to basics.

    Good post.

Although some only appear when we don’t win.

Some struggle to say anything positive, even when we do win, that’s, in my opinion, Maradominic and Overseas bhoy who appear to enjoy criticising our players.

If you can’t enjoy Celtic at this moment in time then when can you?

    Hail Hail

  3. As someone old enough to have had the misfortune to see a few really woeful CFC teams, can I just thank Brendan and his team for yet another undefeated performance!

Yes there will come a time when tiredness, injuries, mistakes and “honest mistakes” will combine and we will actually lose a domestic game. However this team has written another remarkable chapter in our long and unbroken glorious history.

For me that means they deserve a break from the support. Too many of whom seem to have adopted a very hunlike sense of entitlement.

Brendan is a real true professional manager and arguably the most progressive manager we have had since Mr Stein.

Therefore I will trust his judgement in most things because I know that he is also as big a fan as we are!

Far too many seem to have really short memories and seem to have forgotten how poor we were in Ronnie’s last season, let alone the bad old days of the 1990s!

I know it’s a bit old school but what about the support actually supporting the team through what will be a very physically and mentally challenging month of December?

Who knows the players might even get a lift from being supported rather than pilloried!

  4. Goooood Evening CQN

Onwards to 69 on Wednesday night

FtSFA (& FtSPFL), whose great idea is it to play 9 games in December ????

Most expensive period for most families and also usually one of the coldest – trumpets

Another, why are Sky still getting games, another cost for many fans, as you need BT & Sky

Dissapointed to drop 2pts after being up 2 goals

    But

    Still undefeated

    And

Once we get our scoring boots back on – missing too many chances, like today

Cam I add I would rather see McGinn in our midfield with Broonie, than a couple of our current squad, and where was TR today ??

    Hail Hail

  5. Nally81

I didn’t see CG letting any in.

What I saw was a poor defender and midfield defend a corner and poor defensive error from Siminovic allied with some decent play from Hibs for the second.

Yeah CG fumbled and it almost cost us but thankfully one of the defenders who was so poor for the first goal also saved us from defeat and an end to an unbeaten run.

We were also profligate in attack today with many good opportunities spurned through poor decisions and poor shooting.

  6. Croppy Bhoy, Phil Bhoy, BTB, GFTB

and other like minded people. We will stand and appreciate the achievements of this side when we actually lose a game.

Many others will be rushing to their phlegm stained keyboards to demand answers. If only they had a valid and well constructed question. No doubt the blog will be full of “ how no but?” “ the refs a Hun” “‘sno fair but” “ this hiz to stoap” comments.

When it happens, I will be lighting the best cigar I can afford ( that may well be a Hamlet) and thinking of the good stuff.

    Take care everyone. HH

  7. Had a listen to yesterday’s BBC Sportsound podcast.

Only got as far as Stuart Milnes interview.

    What a crock.

Is this guy actually an Aberdeen or rangers man?

There was nothing in it for the fans of Aberdeen.

The entire thing was an update for sevconians.

Couldn’t they find anyone at ibrox to deliver the PR message?

  8. bsr

i think he is with us untill 2019, if scouts are watching him he is going nowhere, we wont sign him when its up. afraid he is back to pre brendan days, pity because last year he was brilliant. i think he scored 17 goals.

thats what we are missing just now. imo

  9. MWD- I know what you’re saying but I just don’t think he saves us in tight games enough- maybe I’m being a bit ‘ we deserve bettery ‘ but I think every other position we are trying to get to the standard of Brown, Tierney, Dembele, Roberts, Sinclair etc and we have agoalkeeper who IMMHO is a 6 out of 10 player.

It takes a lot for me to criticise any of our players but he is just not good enough.

    ———–

Wonder if we’ll finish with as many points as Ronnie’s last season :O)

  11. Our goals conceded per game statistics in the SPFL are marginally better than last year,

I thought Gordon couldn’t be faulted for goals today only error was fumble near end.

Keepers always get it in the neck, Wee James missed an absolute sitter, Dembele should have pulled one back for Sincy, Boyata should have got his header on target & Sincy also blew a chance in the last second.

In between all that we missed a hatfull of chances.

Not slagging the team, they are tired, but no scape goating.

68 games unbeaten, with a shite keeper.

  12. Gordon is class, by far a better keeper than we could ever hope to get if we enter the transfer market

  13. Through the years on CQN I’ve read many times. Don’t post when drunk .

    Aye right yar.

68 games . Let me repeat 68 games.

F##k the huns , the appeasers , the Tories , the self righteousness tossers and most of all

    F##K the SFA .

I Love Celtic and everyone who holds them dear .

Nothing else is important . KTF & HH

  14. TIMHORTON

I think he had one touch today and it wasn’t a good one. He never kicked a ball when wide left pre Brendan and he confounded me, when he starred more as an orthodox centre mid last season but even then he has a tendency to play short balls across the park, straight to opponents.

Way too early to right him off though and to say ‘he wants away’ is just made up stuff from the internet.

Spot on, top of the league and still in Europe some “fans” don’t know when they are well off, no Celtic entitlement the fans I know

    Good times

  16. Hard fought game today, I really want Brendan to take the cheats with the whistles to task before one or more of our players are seriously injured.

    No a good pitch.

A fair few with the sense of entitlement out in force today, twitter and the blogs are full of them, worse than huns imo, why, cos we should know better, you wouldn’t think we had gone 68 games undefeated.

  18. The huddle @ 21.33 hrs.

It is always very easy to blame goalkeepers. All things considered I agree with your view that we would struggle to buy better in the transfer market.

Considering that our defence is woeful at times and we lack a dominating CH it is a tribute to our keeper that we are 68 domestic games undefeated . And let’s not forget the great saves against Anderlect which arguably single handedly kept us in European football .

    Forster

    Gordon

Being brought up with Latchford, Bonnar, McKnight, Marshall, I thought Jonathan Gould was amazing till I realised he was best of a bad bunch then big Rab who was an honest pro but…… I suppose he was a bit better than Stewart Kerr, I grew up thinking we weren’t allowed a good goalie, in fairness I think Craig Gordon is excellent some might disagree, I do wish he cane up fur more corners :-)

  21. Best Celtic midfielder other than Broonie is Callum McGreggor, plays a simple game well passes quickly and adds great tempo to game

  22. Had Fraser Forster not been so immense in those 2 Barca games in 2012/13, we would have lost them both by a big margin.

    David Marshall wasn’t bad either.

  23. Greenpinata 9.51pm

    Our defence is “woeful” sic

I think that is a bit harsh, maybe our defence don’t get as much protection as many other defences, I think that’s Brendan’s choice, we can’t enjoy all of our domestic forward play then blame the defence

    16roads 9.55pm

    Right back at ya

Good to see you back . You were missed.

I did say woeful at times; which I don’t think anybody could say isn’t correct.

    Cheers and HH.

  25. Greenpinata

    Cheers, you are spot on

But sometimes the defence needs a bit of help from all the fancy Dans that want to score goals

Play the Griff as sweeper :-)

  26. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

Very surprised at the reaction to today’s result. Sure,we blew a two-goal lead, which isn’t clever, but well clear at the top,in Europe after Christmas,a great manager and a terrific young squad has me a happy Hoooooop.

And 68 domestic games undefeated, aye, plenty to moan about.

  27. Hi Bhoys

Today was Brendan’s 67th undefeated domestic game.

I bet he’s glad he got that monkey off his back.

    Goodnight and God bless
