CELTIC will face Hapoel Beer-Sheva for a place in the coveted UEFA Champions League Group Stage.

The Scottish Champions will meet the Israeli champions on either 16th or 17th of August at Celtic Park then either the 23rd or 24th in Israel.

The Hoops entered the draw following Moussa Dembele’s late penalty to give Celtic a well-deserved victory over Astana. However, Brendan Rodgers will have to do his homework on yet another defensive-minded team. Ranked 284th in the UEFA rankings, Hapoel provided one of the shocks of the tournament by knocking out Olympiakos 1-0 0n aggregate.

Having failed to qualify for the group stage in two consecutive seasons, Celtic will hope to overcome the Israelis to put them on course for more memorable European nights under the Paradise lights.
